This part of my website is dedicated to... ME! and my other half...
The picture on the left shows me, perched on a none-too-comfortable rock on the riverside at Broughty Ferry. I was born in Dundee (Scotland) and have spent most of my life there (brief stints at university in nearby St Andrews, where I studied French, German, Ancient History and Music, and at work in London - 16 months selling classical recordings in Covent Garden - don't really count). I've been technically self-employed as a music editor and typesetter since 1989. We recently moved to St Ives in Cambridgeshire (Click here to see photographs of the house), and we've both found gainful employment. Unfortunately the shift patterns aren't very compatible, so we just have to make do with a day here, half a day there, etc. It also means that my typesetting time for things I'm interested in myself is very much more limited than it ever was in Dundee, but hopefully changes in the New Year will remedy that situation. |

This picture shows my beloved in his home city of Barcelona. He and I visited
the city in February 2002, as his flat there was about to go on the market and
he wanted me to see it before it was too late.
The pic was taken in the Parc G�ell, a typically bizarre piece of Gaud� architecture in the capital of Catalunya (or, as Carlos would have it, Spain), Barcelona. He's presently working at a petrol station in St Ives... He's much happier here, although he finds the job quite stressful at times, and out ultimate aim remains to head for a homestead in the north of Tenerife, where I can edit music and compile web pages, while he milks the cows and grows mangoes.
