Crossing the Pearl River I spied a railroad bidge. These sightings are always a big deal duiring one of my outings. I can understand how peeved everyone was at me cuz I didn't get around to telling the whole story or any story at all about these monuments to heavy hauling. Heavy hauling is what made this country great. The railroads did the heaviest hauling and they did it over all obstacles. Each time I see a monument to their dogged determination, I celebrate it with a picture. There is nothing more American that a train.
I didn't want you to miss the left bank.
I saw this little road and I followed it in hopes of actually getting up on the bridge and taking a picture looking down the tracks, one of my favorite views.
I came into this little enclave and talked to some ladies leaving in a pickup truck. I asked permission to go on the property and they said, "Sure, but it ain't our place". Does your dog bite? No, but it is not my dog.
I just zoomed in, not feeling real comfortable after the last conversation.. I think I had possibly encoutered a joint operation of both the Federal and Confederate Navies. I'm glad I didn't try to walk the bridge, not having an ID or an appropriate flag. Do you think we've finally declared war, again, on Mexico? Bout time.
