I CAN’T STAND IT ANYMORE!!!!
You know, there are some people you wish you could tie down over your knee and paddle some sense into them!!! Take for example the poor suckers who end up writing for sites that promise to pay them for every time their page is viewed. Well, if you look at how much they get paid, they have to be viewed one hell of a lot of times to make even a few bucks. That means writing continuously and hoping that someone will actually be interested in the material enough to look at it.
If they had any brains, what they would do is this:
First, you need product to sell so write a book. That’s the reason the gods created word processors. Once the book is written, save it in textfile and then convert it to either PDF or HTML. The reason you do that is both formats are cross-platform, meaning they can be read on Windows, Mac or Linux machines. Do not waste your time will silly “reports” that no one wants to spend any money on. The customer must feel he is getting a value for his dollar.
Ok, got that?
Now, set up a website, on a server that you have to pay for. The reason for that is you have less hassles about commercial material than you would on a free one. Set up a Paypal account. It’s easy though it takes a couple of days for the verification system they use.
Put a chapter of the book on the site and instructions on how to purchase it, usually by putting money into your Paypal account and then receiving the book by e-mail.
In the time it takes to write hundreds of articles for the pay-per-view sites, you can have a truly saleable product and you should make more money in a few days than you would in a year with the other methods.
