SO MUCH CHAOS, SO LITTLE TIME!
There are times I can’t believe how fast the days go. Even running on four hours sleep if I’m lucky I just never seem to have enough time to accomplish half of what I want to, between having two computers going continuously, one just crunching and crunching data and the other dealing with online stuff (500 e-mails a day can get pretty wearing at times) it’s amazing that I get time to comment on anything.
I mean, here I thought I was through doing demos for my bdsm friends, after all, nearly 10 years as a club officer and doing so many of the damned things can really burn you out, and now I’m getting ready to come out of retirement and give a dissertation on dagger play. In the meantime, I’m working on new editions of my books for the new website and designing new gadgets, in addition to testing the effectiveness of the ones I built last summer.
Last summer, when I set up this site, I figured it would be a nice way to keep some basic ideas on psionics and magick (at least my versions of them) before the public and learn to do web design at the same time. I mean, I like my friends and I really appreciate all they’ve done for me over the years, but there are some things you just have to do for yourself. And as things were a bit slow I had the time to play with it and then, surprise. First I had a flurry of gadget ideas for the first time in a few years and then the good people at zipgate approached me to help out with the Cybershaman stuff and now we’re working on a whole bunch of online publishing things. It was almost a relief to land in the hospital and get operated on last fall.
Well, no rest for the wikked! I really do envy those bored housewives who write on the websites that carry their drivel. It must be wonderful to be able to just spout nonsense all day. I spent a bit of time while recovering from donating a part of a lung to the cause of science reading one of those sites but finally the ravings got to be just too time consuming. It was like talk radio and the Jerry Springer show combined and then put into transcript. EEEEK!!!! Sorry, I have real life here and can’t be bothered with crazy people. I run into enough of them in this field as it is!
So it’s back to work. Today is the first day of the ending of the world and there is a lot to do.
So if you wonder why there isn’t a lot of commentary on the commentary page, that’s why. I just don’t get the time to do it!
