Stockholm, Sweden
Ahhh... its nice to finally be back in the City.  Stockholm is the capital city of Sweden, it is also the largest city and Sweden.  It is still pretty small compared to Toronto tho... Stockholm is a very beautiful city!  I definately wouldn't mind living there.  I enjoyed walking around the city and taking pictures of their buildings.  Everything is so elegant and so pretty.  Stockholm makes Toronto look like a very ugly city... Even though Stockholm is a big city, I still haven't seen a traffic jam yet, and there are still lots and lots of bikes!
The front of their parliment building
The changing of the guards, took about an hour....
This is the museum that showed the history of Sweden and the swedish culture:  Nordiska
WONDERLAND!  ummm well, at least the swedish version.  It was closed for the season when i got there... so i couldn't make a comparison
The palace... its huge! i had to stand so far way from it to get the whole thing... and this is just the building, i didn't include the court yard and stuff in this picture.  The Royal Family doesn't live in this one anymore tho... they live outside the city.
The Opera House, just like the middle ages, where all the nobles and royalties gather... the building is beautifully constructed
The most famous mesuem of all: the Vasa museum.  Its a sunken ship that they took out of the sea and made it into a tourist attraction!
This picture was taken right in front of the castle entrence.  Its high on a hill and overlooks the parliment building
one fo the many catherials in Stockholm, they are all contructed really beautifully!
this was taken in another place in the palace grounds.  There are guards everywhere... i wonder if the cannons work... hummm....
This is part of the parliment.  It actually acts like a gate that connects the old city to the new city.  Again, the deisgn is so nice, and detailed.  there are alot of sculptures and stuff on all the buildings.
This is how the palace guards dress like... the guns i think are real, and you are not allowed to go near them.
I thnk this is the house of nobility... i took too many pictures of buildings...
This is the shopping street. Its actually very long and goes all the way from the old city to the new city.  there are tons of stuff to buy on this street, you name it they have it!
Ok the story behind this picture is in Northern Sweden there is a very famous hotel made completely of ice.  I tried to ask about getting there, but first, you have to make reservations like months before you go, and its impossible to get there without taking a million different types of transportation.  So in Stockholm they have a ice bar and a ice mesuem.  Its suppose to simulate the environment of the ice hotel up north.  Everyone was complaining it was too cold, and they made us wear this thing that i'm wearing in the picture to keep us warm, but it really wasn't that cold in there, it was only about -6 degrees celcius.

Again, i do have more pictures of Stockholm, but due to the limited space i get, i can't put them all up, otherwise i won't have room to put up other pictures from other places that i'll hopefully go to
