Chris Browder has taught English to students of all ages,
levels, and nationalities. He first taught English in Korea as an
opportunity to travel and experience different cultures but
eventually came to see it as a career. Chris was attracted to
English teaching as a career because it provided him with an
opportunity to experience different countries and cultures in a
more meaningful manner than as a tourist or traveler. With this
attitude he worked as a volunteer in a small school in Northern
India and worked for near volunteer wages for an Academy in
Mongolia. After a few years of teaching and traveling, Chris began
his Ed.M.A. in TESOL at S.U.N.Y Buffalo. While there, he worked
for admissions as an evaluator for the Test of Spoken English, the
speaking component of the TOEFL. Halfway through his Ed.M.A.
Chris decided to take a year off to work at Mahidol University in
Thailand where he helped to revamp their English program in the
International College and also administered entrance tests.
