     im.pl (perl)
     join.pl (perl)
     userpass.dat (database)
     data (directory)

          HyperMart Users:
If your on Hypermart you should create a directory for your IM. Call it something like "im" or "messenger", it can be whatever you want.  Next create a directory inside that directory called "data".  That directory is where the messages will be kept, so CHMOD it to 777.  Then CCP im.pl and join.pl and userpass.dat into your first directory and CHMOD them to 755.

          Virtualave Users:
If your on Virtualave it will be a lot easier.  Use a site manager script that can be found at:
   http://cgi-place.refraxion.com
then upload it to your site.  how create a directory for your im, then create another directory called "data" inside the first directory.  Then just CCP the two files into your first directory.
