How to Install 7543 Win95 Driver
================================

1.  Click on the Start box in the lower left corner and proceed to Settings,
    Control Panel.
2.  Inside the Control Panel group, click on the Display icon to open the
    Display Properties folder and select the Settings tab (right most tab).
3.  Choose the "Change Display Type..." button and click the "Change..." 
    button in the Adapter Type group.
4.  Select the "Have Disk..." button and then insert the 7543 WIN95 Driver 
    Installation diskette into the floppy drive A: or B: and proceed with 
    OK button.
5.  "Cirrus Logic 754X (Cirrus)" will be highlighted for a VLB system or 
    select "Cirrus Logic 754X PCI (Cirrus)" for PCI system.
6.  Press Ok and then Close to exit the Change Display Type menu.
7.  Press Close again to exit Display Properties folder.
8.  Select Yes to restart computer before the new driver will take effect.
9. To change the colordepth, repeat step #2 and then click on the pull-down 
   arrow from the Color palette area.
10.To change the resolution, repeat step #2 and then adjust the sliding bar 
   either to Less or More from the Desktop area.



How to Change Monitor Refresh Rates
===================================

1. Make sure you copy the CLMODE.* and TIMINGS.DAT files to your hard disk.
2. When you see "Starting Windows 95..." message, press F8 to get into the
   Microsoft Windows 95 Startup Menu.
3. Select Command Prompt Only or Safe Mode Command Prompt Only.
4. Run CLMODE from DOS prompt and select the desired monitor refresh rates.
5. Select "Yes" when asked to update the AUTOEXEC.BAT.
6. Next time when your system reboots, it will use the new refresh rates.
7. If you want to change the refresh rate again, repeat step 2-5 or you
   can manually edit C:\PATH\CLMODE T640=XX T800=XX T1024=XX T1280=XX in 
   AUTOEXEC.BAT where XX=refresh rate (ie. 60,70,etc.).
