I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the voting public here in the city of Halifax and of Nova Scotia for voiting me in as Minister of Events on the Executive Board.

The Court System is a growing oragnization, now with chapters in Canada, USA and Mexico.  It all began in San Fransisco in the 1960's, and was mainly a deliberately 'camp' entertainment, hence the ever-so-slightly melodramatic system of titles and the courtly structure itself.  Since then the community service role of the organization has become an inceasingly important side of what we do, but it's all done in a spirit of fun.  The highlight of our year - the annual coronation ,  sees new officials, including our Emperor and Empress, crowned.  And throughout the year you'll see court members getting together for official and not-so-offical numbers.

Reigning Monarchs are......Empress VII  Natassha N!Lott and Emeror VII, Cousin Cletus.

As representatives of the court, or primary goals are:

1.  to futher relationships with businesses and organizations within our local communities.

2. to hold functions and fundraisers to benefit the communites.

3. to help those in the community who are in need of our assistance.  Each year our organization contributes tens of thousands of dollars to local community services as well as to National and International causes such as the Pink Ribbon Campaign.  The Court System is open to everyone.

Our  membership comes from every part of society, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and heterosexual.  A person's gender, lifestyle or mode of dress has no bearing on being a member of he court "family".  Whether you just want to be part of the family, or to make an active contribution to the social or community service sides of what we do, your involvement will be truly welcome.

As a member you well receive updates by email of upcoming meetings, events(great drag shows) and fundraising opportunities.
