Entry for February 13, 2007

so.....i've been rummaging through the mySpace world, finding horror type peoples and all that - found the page for the new Halloween coming later this year, written and directed by Rob Zombie (who did the awesome "House of 1000 Corpses" and the sequel "the Devil's Rejects") - . i've never been a fan of his music really, but i really love his movie work! i also found his personal page, and listened to some of the newer tunes of his. not bad. i like the music work he did for the 2 movies, though, mostly.....
i also found Bill Moseley's page (he was "Otis" from Rob Zombie's films, but is better known as Chop Top from "Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2"), and had fun reading his blogs on there. he's a witty guy, and very intelligent. good stuff! he has a band called Cornbugs, and they have a page, too. fun music, and i guess the guitarist is that Buckethead guy, who i've never really heard play before. i found Danny Trejo's page as well (he's an awesome actor from movies like "From Dusk till Dawn", and many many other rad roles!), but his page is private until your a "friend" (myspace wise, anyway...).......
and i'm still looking!
(you can check out who i've found by going to the darph/nadeR mySpace page - www.myspace.com/darphnader - and looking at our 'friends' list! you'll find 'em! heheh.....
in other news, the duo i am 1/2 of, darph/nadeR, played a VERY successful show this past Sunday afternoon, at one of San Francisco's 'Godwaffle Noise Pancake' shows - experimental acts perform as pancakes are made for all to eat! they are a special recipe of the guy who puts these on - Grux, who is a totally awesome person! really cool! so, we played 3rd after some really cool and mellow sets (first by LeSiege, then a 2 song set by Dokuro), and blasted a nice loud jam that people seemed to be happy with. we were, anyway! REALLY happy, as it was probably our best set in a long time, if not ever! but i think we always say that.....
if you're ever in the Bay Area some Sunday when they're doing another (i think it's monthly or something), be sure to make it down there! they're really fun!!!
okay, back to searching out the spooky people.....!
