Wednesday, October 31st: Day Seven - Happy Anniversary, US!

Yup! ONE YEAR!
Greg and I had given eachother our gifts before we had left on our trip, and our initial plans of going to Paris on the actual day of our anniversary were of course changed, but I really loved the way things worked out!
He gave me a really precious shadow box of memories of our honeymoon at Disney's Carribean Beach Resort. There was a bottle of sand from the beach by our room, a pressed flower from the garden, a map of the resort, and all sorts of lovely details. I was VERY impressed. I gave him a star. Heh. I registered him a Official International Star named after his mother in the Phoenix constellation. It came with a gorgeous certificate and map of the stars. He seemed to like it :)
Ok so anyway, Aunt Carolyn and mum drove us up to Warwickshire, the county containing Stratford Upon Avon [Shakespeare's hometown]. We ended up renting a room at an adorable little Bed & Breakfast in Warwick, two blocks away from Warwick castle!! The room was GORGEOUS! A king size, four poster bed with a gorgeous red and gold canopy. A bay window area with huge matching drapes. And a beautiful red carpet covered in gold fleur de lis - my fav!! The price of the room even included a big traditional British breakfast, made to order! hehehe.
Mum and Aunt Caz had lunch with us in a nearby pub after we got settled into our room, and then they left us to it. Greg and I explored the town, but everywhere started closing at 5pm, so there really wasn't much we could do 'cept pop in an antique store or two and pickup some snacks to take back to the room. All the pubs were closed off to adults so that the kiddies could come in for Halloween parties. It was adorable seeing all the little ones in their costumes. Something I'm not used to seeing over there. We were going to have a nice dinner, but we were still full from lunch and feeling rather lazy, so we just stayed in and watched tv all night. Got to catch up on my fav Brit soaps, and watch a couple Halloween themed shows. Nice!
It was a little hard for me to sleep through the night since the old house and old be were soooo creaky, and not to mention a little creepy, hehe.
