Tuesday, October 30th - Day Six: Day About Town

We popped into the city center of Northampton to check out the market, run some errands, and visit with family.
Nanny came with the four of us out to lunch at, what was once called "the Giggling Sausage," but is now called "the Super Sausage: II." It's a small little restaraunt that serves traditional British food at great prices, and is themed all about movies. The whole menu and decor revolve around movies and movie stars. They love Marilyn Monroe there. LOVE. Thus, I love. ;) I had Toad in the Hole again, hehe, but it just wasn't as good as the one in London the night before. We popped in a couple small shops, like a second hand store where we picked up some amazing books. Like, for Rachel, we got her a Nurse's Medical Dictionary from the 1930's! It's almost to cool to pass on, but we now she'll love it more than us. For ourselves, we bought a British history book from 1910. 50p [about a dolar] each! *dies*
Mum showed us the church she used to go to when she was in school - I believe it said it was est in 1870. I took a picture, so I'll have to zoom in and try to find the dedication block. There's also another old church which has since been converted [only in the interior] to a restaraunt named... "The Church." heh. I was intruiged!
So basically it was a calm, slow-paced day around home - we wouldn't have too many of those.
