Sunday, October 28th - Day Four: Greg's Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Greg! Today was his "golden birthday" - meaning he turned 28 on the 28th!

Originally, we were going to spend the day in London, but tickets were cheaper to go on the train after the weekend, and it would be a lot less crowded, so we put it off 'til Monday.

In the morning, Greg opened his pressies, including the scarf I have been knitting him in secret for the last month. It took me so long because I could only do it when Greg wasn't home, so maybe a couple hours a few days a week. Not to mention it's a beast! 13 inches wide and 65 inches long. It had to be that wide to fit the skull! lol. It was awesome, he opened and was like, "oh cool" and then my mum was like "you know, Beka knitted that" and Greg was like "WHAAAA?!" haha! Poor sap didn't even know I knit! ;D He loved it, and wore it everyday since.

My mum cooked a big traditional English breakfast: Bangers [sausages], Blood Pudding [not as gross as it sounds], eggs, beans, chips, and English bacon [more so like Canadian bacon, rather than American bacon]. Absolutely delicious, and the perfect start to a chilly English day doing what else, but watching a football ["soccer"] match!

My pre-teen cousin, James, was having a match, so we went to cheer him on. He's quite the lil' goalie. Football is pretty much his, his father's, and his little brother's life. Don't ever say anything against Liverpool in their prescence, else you're taking your life in your hands! ;) Of course, I like to be cheeky and cheer on my fav team, and Liverpools' bitter rivals - Manchester United! We're doing just fine without Becks, thank you!

Anyway, then we came home to change to go to, what Greg thought, was an innocent meet up at my cousin, Cath's house [which, by the way, is GORGEOUS!]. Little did he know that it was all one big conspiracy, and was actually a surprise birthday party for him! My entire family was there! My aunt, uncle, Nanny, my cousins Cath and Stephen, their spouses Jimmy and Becki, and their children: James, Aiden, Paige, Kerri, and the new addition - Kaci! It was such good fun! We played a music trivia game, golfing on the Wii, and delish cake!

We didn't want to leave the party, but we had a long day and early start the next day to go to London!
