My uncle, Steve, owns his own garage in Northampton, and one of their specialties is race cars. He invited us to go with him to a local race - a charity even featuring cars of all types racing against eachother. There were vintage cars, sports cars, true drag race cars, REALLLLL vintage cars [we're talking 1920's here], and even my favs - Minis! The class of the car would determing the handicap given, so that even though they were different speeds and engines, all cars were given an even playing field.

We got to watch the race from where the team watches it, literally RIGHT next to the track. It was incredible. Well actually, it was really cold, really windy, very cloudy, and raining off and on, btu it was awesome! The wives all brought and prepared food for the drivers and mechanics, so it was a real fun day. The race is kind of a big deal in the circuit, too, so at the end of the day, when Steve's team came in second, there was much rejoicing and champagne to be had!
