Hello everybody,
This is my first ever attempt at a "blog", but now seems as good a time as any. We've been in Ireland just a little over a day, and I can easily say that it is one of my favorite places in the world. The sky is huge and blue, with just the right amount of clouds. Of course, that amount changes all the time, but somehow it's always just right. The fields are rolling and lush, and the people are helpful and don't seem to mind us being American.
The only trials we've faced have been negotiating the roads here. The cars are on the left, and the driver sits on the right, and it's all very confusing. Not to me, of course, since Lisa's doing all the driving. My job is to sit, white-knuckled, in the left hand passenger seat and pray that she doesn't hit any of the people or cars on the side of the road. So far, she's only run over the curb a few times, and for that I'm thankful. Please understand, I think she's doing a great job. I'd much rather be terrified and riding than driving and dead, which is the other option.
There is one thing I've found that makes all the fear melt away, and brings happiness to my soul; that magical dark brew that should never be served anywhere else: Guinness. Oh, man is it good here. Mmmmm, Guinness.
More to come. . .Evans
