Hello, everybody!
The road to Kilkenny was awe-inspiring. Lisa is now driving like a champion, and I got to really soak up the view. I was handling the navigation, but that wasn't really all that hard. We passed through a couple of sleepy little towns, but the road was mostly through the country. Let me give you a heads up, guys, there's a reason they call it the emerald isle. Kilkenny is magnificent to behold; it's filled with buildings that are centuries old, and it's astride a quiet river whose name escapes me at the moment. Last night we enjoyed a quiet pint in the shadow of Kilkenny Castle, which we'll probably tour later today. We didn't explore too many pubs, because the schools had just let out for summer, and all the 18-year-olds were out and getting rowdy. And who can blame them. Tonight we're going in search of some traditional Irish music, which we've heard is abundant in the city. Our B and B is right in the heart of Kilkenny city, so we're right next to everything. The picture above isn't of Kilkenny; we haven't uploaded those pics yet. I took that in Dun Laoghaire- it's just a public park next to the sea where the local kids were playing, but I really like that picutre. That's all for now. Stay in touch, guys.

You should party with the 18 year olds and tell them how life isn't all buttercups and roses. But buy them a pint while you do it...

Evans, That picture ROCKS!! I'm so glad that you are having fun. Can't wait to get out to see you guys soon! After talking to a couple of people who have been to Ireland, Co. Kerry is reputed (by the above people) to have the best music in the world!! I expect a full report when I get there. Have an absolute blast! I love you (you too, Lis...)
