I have done many things in unit 1 about the online world such as how online services can be used and the advantages of that, this one topic has impacted society in many ways such as the ways people do things and how efficiently things are done, an example of this is skype, skype is a way of communication through the internet as long as there is an internet connection skype can be used. Skype is known as a form of VOIP, another thing i have learnt about is hacking and things like encryption and firewalls are ways to keep a hacker out. Ways to know that a website is safe is SSL or HTTPS these are protocols for online trading to ensure it is done properly and fairly.
