Okay, I know it sounds like something out of some kitsch 50's B-Movie! Trouble was, what I'm about to describe is something that is reported to have happened, at least, according to the Weekly World News!

It seems a Janitor at NASA mistook a fly for a UFO, and managed to convince scientists the Earth was being invaded.  The alarm then spread to the Pentagon, which launched a nuclear missile, and alerted world leaders to the "invasion".

Honestly, does anybody actually believe the stuff that is printed in these tabloids anymore???

Hmm, on the other hand, knowing the US military as we do, can you honestly say this didn't happen???
