This story reminds me of a story some years ago where Thomas T Cat and Jeremiah Mouse Esq. were in trouble for being too violent.  This time they're in trouble because of smoking scenes in their cartoons.

Now, these cartoons were produced back in the 1940s and 1950s, when smoking was a much more acceptable thing to do than it is now.  But, I think these cartoons should not be meddled with by editors merely to take out the smoking scenes, because they are a reflection of the times, and they are classics.  You should NEVER meddle with a classic.
