Well, the silly season is most definitely here. How do I know? Well, it was as a result of one story on June 1st, the traditional start date of the silly season.

The story came out from DC Comics about them reviving an old character from the 60's, Batwoman, as a wealthy lesbian socialite.

Now, in the world of comics, admittedly, this is big news.  But, when I Googled the story, I got a shock.

EVERY major online news provider had the story.  Every last one of them.  ABC Australia, BBC News, CNN, Yahoo News, MSNBC, ABC News US, CBC, CBS News, FOX News, NPR, AOL News and a ton of the smaller newspapers and online sites, even the Russian newspaper Pravda had the story.

Now for a story that has no real impact on the real world, how on earth, can you call this news?  I'm a fan of comics, have been hoping that Batwoman would return and am looking forward to seeing it.  This piece of information is fairly important in my world, but not in the real world.
