I went flying this morning. A friend of mine has a small Cessna (like in the pic, but not the one in the pic) and I had been asking him to take me up in for a while now. Well when I woke up it was pretty foggy so I didn't think we would make it. But he called around 10:30 so I met him at the Springdale Airport, were he keeps his plane.

    Takeoffs in a small plane like that are kind of scary. It's kind of the same feeling as when you’re driving in icy conditions and you loose control of the car. And once your up in the air there is allot of pockets of air that jar the plane around allot. Once you get used to the fact that it is going to do that it's not so bad. But I was feeling a lil queasy, like when you ride a rollercoaster or something like that.
Once in the air he let me take over and fly the plane, witch was fairly simple. The first thing I had to realize was that the plane will fly itself. If you let go of the controls it will just fly straight. Then i needed to remember to relax, not try to over steer or worry to much about the air pockets that jar the plane.
    I had a good time and hope to do it again soon.
