Well as many of you know, I had Lasik eye surgey on Feb. 2nd, 2007 with the Green Group out of Wichita.  To say that I was pretty nervous is a serious understatement, but I think I ended up doing ok.  They started out by giving me drops to dialate my eyes.  After 15 minutes or so, they put more drops in my eyes because they were not dialated enough I guess.  It was at that time, that I was talking to a guy that had the first part of the procedure done, and he said it was extreemly painful, and felt like soap in eyes.  So I'm sitting there thinking..."oh great, this is going to be wonderful."  Anyway I got into the room where they actually cut the flap on the eye, which is called Intralase, and I have to tell you that it was not painful at all.  I do have to say that it felt very strange as they put a suction cup on my eyes, but it didnt hurt.  After that they brought me back to a dim room to rest my eyes before they actually did the procedure.  Then they came and got me and put more drops in.  It was at that point that they did the actual Lasik surgery.  The entire thing lasted maybe 4 minutes, and Kendell was allowed to watch the whole thing.  As soon as I sat up, things were blurry, but I could see some.  That night, my eyes hurt pretty bad, and felt very itchy, but I was able to get some sleep.  The next day, I went to the doctor for my check up, and he said I had "blurry 20/20" vision, and it will get better within the next few months.  It's been a week now since the surgery, and I'm seeing better every day...without my glasses.  I still can't believe it.   It's so strange, and so wonderful at the same time.  Anyway I just wanted to share a bit of my expirence with you all.
