Language learning, FLOW, the baby, whatever
Intro
Just what I need. Another blog. I don't care. This one is for me. If you're viewing this, I probably don't know you. Feel free to stick around if you're amused though.
Oh thank god, I just figured out how to change the font face. That's unbelievably better.
So... about me. And the blog.
This is my catch all blog. It's more for me than for anyone else, so anything and everything may show up. And I do mean anything.
I like lists. This is important. You'll see alot if you stick around.
- FLOW
- Guitars
- Languages
- Textile arts
- My bug eyed elf eared boy baby nephew
- Work
- Beating the crap out of this blog unless it STOPS CHANGING MY FONT
These are a few of the things you can expect to see frequently. But let me explain.
1. FLOW. Best damned band on the face of the earth. A Japanese Pop/Rock band with hip-hop, latin, or whatever other influences they want. I'm a moderator on the only English language FLOW fansite known to mankind. You'll notice the similar Mod name. You can learn more and hear some samples of their music on that site.
2. Guitars. I'm learning to play the guitar. On my own. 'Nough said.
3. Languages. Ah languages. If you have nothing else to do, give learning one a try. I used to be bilingual in English (native) and Spanish (7-8 years of study). Now I speak Eng. with very limited Spanish because I stopped using it, like an idiot, and forgot it all, which is to be expected. Currently I'm relearning Spanish and learning Japanese at the same time.
This is made more difficult by the fact that Japanese pronunciation and words share more in common with romance languages (Spanish in particular) than the languages of South East Asia in general. So I get confused a lot.
4. Textile arts. I sew, crochet, cross stich, embroider, tunisian crochet, and sorta knit. I know I'm missing a few there... um. quilt. There's another one. CONSUMES MY LIFE.
5. Nephew. Most beautiful baby child ever (and I've seen a few cute ones, it's not just Aunt Kairi talking.) He's six months old at the time of this blog and drooling up a storm. Love Love Love Love.
6. Work. At Walmart. Hate job. Love job. Can't decide. Nearly had a heart attack today (last night really) when I came into work and my department was CLEAN. And my bins were CLEAN. I think it was actually a preexistant heart condition which caused the weird squish-flip-melt feeling in my chest (left me dizzy) but I doubt the shock helped any.
7. Font. Visually impaired and Comic Sans MS is easier on my eyes so this is a big thing for me. My blog seems to be set on Georgia or something which is painful and everytime I blink it switches. Dammit.
So, that's most all of it. I'll post lists all the time of what I have to do today or this week or whatever. I'm posting one today. It helps me think.
1. Wash dishes.
2. Wash me. and hair. and shave legs. this is all one thing
3. Finish damned translation.
4. Start next translation which I can only hope is a lot less damned.
5. Play with new books.
6. Clean house somewhat.
7. Sleep of ultimate justness.
There. Typical me list. Off to do these things.
(P.S. Not all blogs will be in English. So there.)
