Anyone who has taken down a lath and plaster ceiling knows how dirty a job it is and can probably afford a laugh at our expense! That was last weekend. We had no choice in the end, there was a 10mm crack which needed investigating, and it wasn't long before the filth started raining down with a vengence. We had hoped to knock it down from above, but seeing as some of the joists in the roof appeared to be cantilevered that wasn't an option. So that explains the photo!
