The Quest for the Adamanokonbounochikara:Vengence for Kakahimashaniyouniyourihahaja.

Let me go into a narrative flashback and tell you a little about my history. "Many years ago..." *pauses for dramatic effect* "I was lodged at the sea-view inn in Kakahimashaniyouniyourihahaja village when the earth started trembling, lightning started flashing, and strong gales began to batter the walls of the buildings. Oblivious to the danger, I slumbered while from the ocean waves rose the Leviathon-towering so high as to shroud the town in noon-time darkness.

During this time the villagers fought the beast but could not penetrate it's hide. Skeleten harpies flew into the village and picked up women and children while an army of skeletons marched toward the village. Monstrous waves broke the roofs of the buildings and flooded the streets. Heavy rain-storms battered the roofs while the fire blazed still higher and more aggressively!

Hail fell and thunder reverbrated over the slaughter while I slept peacefully.

The next day I woke up alone in the empty and mysteriously bodiless town, the only man spared from the wrath of the scourge. I vowed to find out what happened to the people of the town and avenge the deaths and disappearances of the harmounous fishermen. So I gathered up belongings from the ruined village and set-off on a quest to find the truth. I decided to traverse the land in efficent S-shapes. (So as to follow the poorly-laid dirt roads, bridges, and tundra which I towered over like a giant, according to the overview map.)

Some weeks later I came accross an old blind man by the side of the road. I asked him if he had seen what had happened to the village. He replied, "I saw it with my own eyes. Responsible was a horror beyond comprehension lurks in the mists of the shadows that follow the lightly-armored champion of this land."

I told him, "I do not understand your babble. And aren't you blind?"

"Maybe...maybe not. There are many truths and you will have to find your own during the course of your quest. Here is a hint: where three rivers meet on a forest square, god shines a helpful light on your quest!"

"Can't you talk like a normal human? I still didn't get your meaning."

He replied, "I am talking in riddles, therefore of course you wouldn't understand. But if you wait until the end, it'll all make sense. Just remember, when darkness triumpths over fertile vines, and the nameless thing frightens the world, do not cower! You have the only tool you need: the Adamanokonbounochikara."

"Ada...I can't pronounce that thing!"

"You'll need to build your skills to complete this quest."

"But what does it do?"

"What does what do?"

"What does the thing that you just said do?" I asked.

"According to the NPC sage code, I cannot answer any questions that will seriously help you in your quest. Besides, you already know."

"No I don't! Tell me!"

"You'll have to find out by gathering clues on your quest."

"Geez...you...! Just tell me now! What is this thing, and how do I get it?"

"But you already possess the power...now onto the next information I need to impart..."

"Wait old man! You win....but what's the name of this item again? I forgot and I can't go around on a quest aking people for an item if I don't know it's name!"

(The old man never waited for the boy to finish his question. He was talking in a low and solemn tone the whole time and wouldn't respond to requests to go back to repeat himself. He just continued droning on giving a walkthrough of difficult dungeons to be explored in the late game.)

"...so having been direct in explaining the the layout water temple, pay attention now as I tell you how to complete your quest defeat the final boss. 棍棒あいづわかまつ姶良郡横川町会津若松...."

After that the old man's speech was no longer translated or comprehensible, and after I had skipped through enough of the text I left him and continued on my quest. This was how the Prince of Art's Quest for Vengence began.
