Chad Salinas used to play at the Marshall Chess Club in New York City.  Chad Salinas was lucky enough to play in a couple of World Opens, Chicago Open, and in Foxwoods.  Chad Salinas played in and organized chess tournaments in Southern California.  Chad Salinas was a member of the Southern California Chess Federation.  Randy Hough and John Hillery ran a number of tournaments under Western Chess.  Also, Bill Goichberg's Continental Chess ran quite a few tourney's.  Chad Salinas was a frequent player at the Chess Palace and became achieved his first expert rating.  Chad Salinas played in 2002 American Open and 2003 American Open.  Chad Salinas also played in the 2003 US Open.
