ImageThis is how I enjoy reading Karuvachi kaviam Image
Dear Vikatan and Vairamuthu,

When I was browsing 'Karuvachi Kaviam' last evening my wife snapped:

"Hey, I did not read it in the afternoon, thinking that you would read it for me in the evening"

Yes, I like to read aloud the Kaviyam so that I can enjoy the folk Tamil.  My wife likes my Tamil reading.

I love it to read aloud and love to read for her.  The enjoyment is two fold!

And I love to scribble an e mail too.

In the latest episode (#10) Vairamuthu in a lighter vein brings out three funny incidents of Konnavayan.

What was the thing that beats Suban Chettiar  like a crowd of bats again and again on his face?

Konnavayan's message of changing the days of  Suban Chettiar's daughter's marriage ahead by three days and that leading an extra expenditure of feeding Chettiar's  guests who come three days earlier to the marriage function.

What lead a new bride-groom never to visit Choladevanpatti in his life time?

Konnavayan making the new bride-groom to wait out side a washer-woman's house with a red eye caused due to a thorn that fell on is eye.

What was the reason that Konnavayan was chased by the shepherds?

Konnavayan's temptation for meat making him to devour the sheep's ears!

'A crippled fellow should not aspire honey from the comb' - yeah this is a proverb!   Vairamuthu says  ' no...no...this is wrong'  he adds: 'A crippled fellow can aspire hitting the honey comb, but the thing is that he will not get it".  With this diamond pearl is going to unfurl the love story of Konnavayan which I think will be lovely!
