Sometimes life isn't fair. Sometimes it almost seems to be trying to be deliberately UNfair. There are no promises and no binding contracts here. There is also no appraisal or deliberation, since the universe is not a schoolyard bully. Nor is it a judicious old man, who always makes the just decision. There is no point in blame unless, by distributing it, you're somehow making things more manageable for yourself. But just understand that that's all it is.
The night before last, I fell asleep on the couch and had a dream about eating chicken. I was standing in a crowd of people and we were wort of passing around this rottisserie chicken, pulling it apart and eating it right off the bone. What's wrong with me? I haven't even eaten chicken recently. Am I just desirous of some chicken? Oh, we did order wings last night.
