The one with the Nittany lion
Friday 3:45PM - Arrive home from work.
3:47 - TV comes on and will not go off until 2:50AM when I leave to head up to Gaithersburg. I will sleep with it on for company.
6:50 - E makes first phone call attempt from top of Empire State Building.
7:24 - I actually speak with E. He "wishes [I] were there." Aw, squee! Sometimes he says that exact, right thing and for this I keep him around.
8:40 - A busload of adult boy scouts leaves New York City. Don't worry, they're not getting OUT of the city for about another hour.
11-something - E texting me to firm up plans. Maybe I should shower now then leave for Gaithersburg to meet them at his buddy's house at midnight. We go back and forth for a bit until I tell him that I'm going to try to get a couple hours of sleep then shoot to leave home at 2:45.
12-something...? - I fall asleep after showering then laying down on the couch, the couch that is usually a medical-grade sedative for me.
2:00AM - The alarm on my cell phone goes off. I am confused and somewhat sweaty from swaddling myself in my brown poodle blanket.
2:50AM - I pack the cooler and make good my escape for Gaithersburg.
2:51AM - Awesome, raining and foggy out.
3:30AM - Arrive in Gaithersburg and waken E.
3:30AM-4:30AM - Am small pile of total human waste in armchair in living room. At some point, I see dog toys on the floor and ask after the existence of a dog. Am not sure what the answer was. E apparently drops an enormous deuce in his buddy's bathroom at some point in here.
4:30AM - Depart Gaithersburg on a buckwild, one-way, party train to State College, PA.
9:10AM - Arrive in purple parking lot at Beaver Stadium. It is approximately 40 degrees with a stiff wind blowing. I press my body againt the car for warmth. Am wearing flip flops with no socks and short sleeves. Have packed only shorts and an alternate pair of flip flops.
9:15AM - Am wearing two layers of men's size XXL windbreakers belonging to two different men and boy scout socks in my flip flops. Tailgating is in full effect.
10-something - Tailgating reaches its zenith. We then relocate to our awesomeamazing seats in the Stadium.
11:40 onwards - Yay! Blue band! Flipping drum major! Every time the Nittany Lion "roars" in the Stadium, I savage E with my "claws." I admire the ring belonging to the chick in front of us. E declares it, "too big." Hahahahaha, fool!
And yet there's still MORE...
