As previously stated, Hysta has customers all around the world. That's why the idea came up to start a company branch abroad. Many of our customers are from the south of England, which would make Sherborne an ideal place for our company’s new branch.
There are a number of factors that make Sherborne an attractive option for Hysta. The most important factor however, is the fact that Sherborne is a town which is situated very strategically, making it very accessible for all kinds of forms of transport:
By train: Sherborne has its own station, with a direct connection to Exeter and London. This is also a positive factor, because our products can be transported by train (possibly in combination with transportation by truck)
By car: Sherborne is situated on the A30, and is also very reachable via the M3, M4 and M5. Sherborne is connected to these motorways which provide a excellent connection with the rest of Great Britain.
By airplane: Three airports can be found in the vicinity of Sherborne: Bournemouth International, Southampton en Bristol International Airport. This makes transport by airplane possible.
By boat: The county of Dorset has 3 large ports: Weymouth, Portland and Poole, of which the latter offers the best possibilities for Sherborne (and therefore, for Hysta). And the river Yeo flows through Sherborne, which makes the town accessible for inland vessels.
