Ok, if you ARE reading this, chances are you're totally stuck on one of the
missions and desperately need help. Read on for hints and clues on getting
through the Red Wolf Missions campaign.

MISSION 1 - Karnov's Gambit
Comrade. The Party leadership has decided its time for the peoples of the
Soviet Union to retain exclusive control of all biometal deposits on the
Lunar surface. You are tasked with the preliminary attack on the main
American base, Eagle's Nest One.

All right, this one's pretty easy, so I won't spend much time on it. The best
thing you can do at the start is head by yourself to the East side of the
NSDF base. From there you can use your MDM Mortar to kill the Gun Tower and
some of the turrets in the base. A few tanks will come over the wall at you,
but these are easily handled. Once your ammo runs low, head back to your
staging area and grab the repair/ammo pods there. Now order your fighters to
follow the bombers - group the bombers under F1 and head back to Eagle's Nest
One, coming in from the SW. When you can target the NSDF Recycler, order the
bombers to attack it. The fighters will follow them in and with luck this
group will take out most of the units you missed on the first run. Finally,
go back and get the rest of your tanks (get a fresh tank for yourself if
yours is banged up) and circle around the enemy base, cleaning out the
remaining units. The mission ends once all enemy units are destroyed. In
case an enemy has wandered out of the base and you can't see it anywhere, you
can type in the cheat code for unlimited radar (CTRL-SHIFT + BZRADAR) and
hunt down any strays.

MISSION 2 - The Relics of Mars
The NSDF has stolen a relic which is the property of the USSR. Since we
cannot get it back, you must steal the data from it, and do everything you
can to prevent the NSDF from pulling ahead in the treasure hunt now underway
for more alien artifacts.

Here you start off all by yourself. Your first objective is to get to Nav 1
and follow the crevice down into the canyon, where the NSDF has secreted the
Cthonian database. As you get near Nav 1, watch out for the pilot guarding
the entrance. Use your sniper rifle to take him out. Now, get down to the
relic and ID it. When you are close enough you'll hear a beep, which means
the data tap was initiated. You'll also notice your Recycler is online now -
but don't build anything yet. It's time to get back to the CCA Outpost.
Unfortunately, several NSDF soldiers sent out to recon the CCA Outpost have
been alerted to your presence and are now coming back for you. If you are
not very good at sniping you can climb to the canyon rim and run North a
ways, then circle back and avoid the soldiers, but this will cost you time.

Once you've dealt with the soldiers and are within 200-300 meters of the
outpost, order your Recycler to build a Scavenger. AS SOON AS YOU HAVE
ENOUGH SCRAP, build a fighter and get into it. Once the Scavenger picks
up the 10 scrap pieces at the base, it will head to the depression just
to the North to get more scrap - which is guarded by 2 NSDF turrets.
You need to engage them right away or your Scavenger will be destroyed,
and with no scrap, it's mission over. Once the turrets are down, get to
the scrap field just East of the base, and take out the Arc Mines there
so your Scavengers don't get zapped.

Now, get to the Check Point Tower in the base and ID it. You will see a
message ordering you to knock out the Radar Outposts at Navs 4-5, and to
secure the base against incoming attack waves. The first wave consists
of 4 Scouts and will arrive about 10 minutes after the mission starts.
You should have an additional fighter built by then - order it to follow
the Recycler, and the 2 of you should have no trouble with the Scouts.
A Rocket Tank will follow about 5 minutes after the Scouts - these have
a nasty habit of firing Hornets at fighters, so let him come to the base
and attack your Recycler before you engage him.

The second wave consists of several Grizzly tanks, so you'll probably
want to build at least 2 turrets and a fighter to follow each. Put them
out in front of your Recycler so they will have a good field of fire.
The tanks will arrive about 5 minutes after the Rocket Tank.

Once the second attack wave has been dealt with, build a second Scavenger
to help clean up the scrap, and make sure the first Scavenger is working
on this also. Recycle all the shot up units - you will need fresh ones
to deal with the next attack, which will come about 5-6 minutes after
the Grizzlies. Build 4-5 turrets, again with a fighter to follow each,
and spread them out in front of the base. This next wave consists of
even more tanks, and with them is a bomber. You should make an effort to
lure the bomber after you and deal with it yourself - if it gets in
close to your base it will wreak havoc on your defenses.

Once you've got this attack wave down, you've got some breathing space -
that's the last wave that will hit your base. Recycle all your damaged
units and max out on fighters. Build another Scavenger, and head out
on your own to recon - there are more scrap fields about, all guarded
by enemy turrets. Take them out as you find them.

Now that you have a nice complement of fighters and a steadily increasing
scrap supply, it's time to start thinking about those Radar Outposts.
You'll want to attack the outpost at Nav 4 first, as the one at Nav 5 is
much more heavily defended, and you may need the scrap you make at Nav
4 later. The object is to destroy the Radar Array towers themselves, not
the units in the base, but you'll need to deal with these enemies to
get a good shot at the Radar Arrays, especially at Nav 5. You can take
all your units and make a headlong charge at the Radar Array, but a
much better method is to sneak in by yourself and lure a few units
out of the base, so you can snipe them and use them against their
erstwhile comrades. Experienced players will find that they can probably
use this technique to deal with the bases all by themselves - for the
less experienced, its at least worth your while to try stealing yourself
a Grizzly. Once you've weakened the base defenses, group 3-4 of your
fighters under F1 and order the rest to follow them - you can have a
couple of turrets defend your base from stray enemies. Try to knock out
the Radar Tower in one go, and get the enemy units as well, so your
Scavengers can get the scrap unmolested. Use the same techniques for
the outpost at Nav 5 - make an effort to kill one of the Gun Towers
before you attack en masse, and come in from that side, or your fighters
will really get chewed up in a hurry. Continue attacking until both
Radar Arrays are destroyed - when they're both down, the mission
will end successfully.

MISSION 3 - The Perilous Gorge
All right, Comrade. Prepare yourself for a fast paced, heart pounding
40 minutes. Your job is to get the Armory to the Launch Pad at Nav 6 in
one piece, and kill all the Black Dogs you run into. Start by tasking
6 of your tanks to follow the Armory, and put 2 into F1, with 2 to follow
those. Start off down the canyon by yourself, and when you're 500-600
yards ahead of everyone order group F1 and the Armory to begin following.
First you'll run into a bomber that's after your Armory - engage and
destroy it. Farther down you'll find 2 turrets waiting - kill them also.
Order the Armory to come up to where you are and stop. When your F1 tanks
catch up to you continue on. Shortly you will encounter a group of Scouts -
there are several, so you'll need some help to get them all. After they
are down, have your Armory follow a few hundred yards back, and keep
moving until you encounter some tanks a few hundred yards shy of
Waypoint 1. Knock them out, and get to the first waypoint, where there is
a geyser on which to deploy the Armory. You'll probably run into another
bomber about now - make sure it doesn't nail your Armory or a tank group.
Take a breather here - get another SP-Stabber, freshen up your tank, and
anyone else who's banged up. You'll notice some NSDF crates up on a ledge.
There's some ammo and repair for the taking up there, but watch out for
the NSDF soldiers. Keep an eye out for enemy units, as there's another
bomber and a couple of tanks still coming for the Armory.

Once you've done your upgrading and maintenance, head out on the next leg
of your journey. At the top of the next ledge (right by Waypoint 1) are
2 turrets - they're spaced fairly widely apart, so make sure you get them
both. From here on up to Waypoint 5, your best strategy is to range on
ahead of the Armory and main offensive group, either by yourself or with
1 or 2 tanks for company. Kill everything you run into, and have the
Armory send supplies up to your location. When you get near the next
Waypoint, have the Armory pack up and go to the geyser there. Keep an eye
on the clock and keep everybody moving forward. Watch out at the mine
fields - there is a sniper waiting in ambush at each of these areas. Find
them with your smart reticle and use your pop gun to kill them safely.

Once you get to Waypoint 5, stop. Have everybody come up. Repair and rearm
all your tanks (hopefully you've been careful and haven't lost any).
There is a large platoon of tanks just down the canyon and you'll need
most of your offensive units to deal with them. Group a bunch under F1 and
have several more follow those. Edge down the canyon pressing "T" until
you can target an enemy tank. Order your forces into battle, hang back a
bit yourself, and attack once they are fully engaged. After this battle is
over, fix up your tank and move on - you're almost done. There are two
more turrets to take out before you get to the Launch Pad. Deal with them
and sneak up to the edge of the Launch Pad base. There is another sniper
waiting around the corner to ambush you - kill him and then search out
the last 2 units you need to get, a turret and Walker waiting for you by
the Launch Pad. Take them out, but be careful - they have heavy weapons.
Once they are down the mission should end in success. In case it doesn't,
go down and check the box canyon at the other end of the base - sometimes
a unit will wander off and lurk down there. Again, use the BZRADAR cheat
if you have to - the mission is really over at this point, as you have
fought your way through.

MISSION 4 - Into the Fire
Your task here is simple, Comrade - knock out the Black Dog base and their
artillery outposts. Well, it's not quite that simple - first you need to
get a supply of scrap and deal with the Black Dog walker platoons closing
on your position... Order your tanks to follow the Recycler and head out
towards the Geyser marked by the Nav. You'll run into two tanks along the
way - take them out and stop about 250 meters short of the geyser site.
There are 2 Scouts and a nasty, AT-Stabber equipped turret waiting for you
there. Order one of your tanks to attack the turret and the other to
follow it. Race in ahead of them and strafe the turret to distract it so
your units don't get killed. Once you've cleared the site, deploy your
Recycler and build one Scavenger to clean up. Now you've got to secure the
scrap field and do it quickly, as the first Walker squadron is only about
15 minutes out at this point. While the Scavenger is gathering up scrap,
build an Armory and a Constructor. Recycle both your tanks. Get the
Constructor started toward the scrap field, and when the Scavenger has
finished picking up the scrap have it follow the Constructor. There are
more AT-Stabber turrets waiting at the scrap field, so an SP-Stabber is
a necessity - have your Armory build you one, and repair/rearm your tank
also. Redeploy the Recycler on the geyser and recycle the Armory. Build
another Scavenger, if you have enough scrap (you'll need at least 4 extra
units to build a silo) and take it with you.

Now, get to the scrap field - have the Constructor and Scavenger(s) follow
behind you. There are 4 turrets in the scrap field crater - two at the
entrance, two more inside. Locate them and pick them off, staying outside
the range of their Stabber weapons. Once they're destroyed, have the
Constructor build a scrap silo right by the scrap field. Recycle the
Constructor, and order the Scavengers to get to work. Head back to the
Recycler, and as soon as you can build a Factory. The Black Dog walkers
and their escorts are not very far away at this point, so the best way
to put up a defense is to build 3 walkers of your own to counter them.
The first attack will come from the SW, so order the walkers to form
a line about 200 meters from the base in that direction. Help your
walkers knock out the first attack wave, and when the enemy units are
destroyed build another Constructor and have it build a silo right
next to the remains of the enemy units. Recycle the surviving walkers
and build a couple of tanks to protect the Recycler. Now you can take
a break, as you've got a few minutes of breathing room.

About 10 minutes after the first attack, you'll see 2 enemy artillery
units moving up the side of the volcano by the base. You may be
tempted to go after them - don't, as it's the lesser part of a
coordinated assault on your base (I told you the Black Dogs were evil
at the mission briefing, didn't I?). About the time those howitzers
are in position an airborne assault team will strike at your
Recycler - if you aren't there to help defend it there's a good chance
you'll lose it. Deal with the soldiers first, then get the howitzers.
Five minutes after this attack a second team of airborne assault
troops will assault the Recycler again - deal with them as well.

About 15 minutes later a second walker squadron will attack from the
SW - again you can use walkers to deal with them, or perhaps some
upgraded gun towers. You need to be ready to deal with the next
attack immediately after though - it will come just 5 minutes later,
from the NE, so you'll have to make a decision about how to allocate
your scrap - you'll find walkers the best for dealing with the attack
from the NE, due to terrain considerations.

Now you're ready to deal with the Black Dog base - if you circle
around on the terrain to the NW you'll run into a couple of NSDF
gun towers (be careful around here, there are a few snipers lurking
about just waiting for a brash comrade like yourself to wander into
the crosshairs). The gun tower base is a good site for a forward
outpost - knock out the towers and have your Constructor build a
hangar and supply building there. You can also build a silo here
as there's more scrap on the peninsula to the West - but make sure
you kill the experimental Black Dog rocket tanks guarding the
scrap before your Scavengers show up.

The easiest way to deal with the Black Dog base is to get a splinter
mortar and lob LOTS of these into the base from a distance. Don't
try a direct forward attack on the base - it's suicide, and you'll
waste all your scrap. Truly resourceful comrades might also think
about sniping those howitzers that show up earlier in the mission
and putting them to work for the CCA.

Once the Black Dog base is down, have the Armory drop Day Wreckers
on the American Artillery outposts. After you've done that, the
mission will end in success.

MISSION 5 - A Herculean Task
Well, comrade. It seems you've gotten yourself into a bit of trouble
and General Romeski intends that you should pay the price. If you read
the mission completed statement for mission 4 you know that you must
pay for your act of treason - if you bothered to fully explore the
map in mission 4 then you know what I am talking about - if not, well -
loyal comrades do not question the wisdom of their superiors in the
CCA, do they?

Your job here is to: (A) get to the Hercules relic in the crater 5KM
SW of your start location. (B) Have the Armory (which is en route to
a geyser at the start) drop a nuclear Day Wrecker on it, and (C) get
away to a safe distance so you don't get vaporized. Before you get
started, here's a couple of tips for people not familiar with sniper
levels - One: since the enemy soldiers do not show up on radar you'll
want to keep an eye on your smart reticle readout as it will show the
names of enemy units coming towards you. That's the little label that
says "No Action" beneath the units menu, beside the SPACE icon - watch
this as you scan the terrain around you - if it changes to "No Action
Pilot" it means an enemy pilot is approaching from that direction.
"No Action Soldier" means it's an enemy soldier (bad news) and if you
see "No Action Player" you're facing an enemy sniper (even worse news).
Two: turn off the music while playing this level. Enemy pilots and
soldiers make little crunching footstep noises when they walk, and
being able to hear this can spell the difference between life and death.

You'll notice your ability to jump about has been hampered somewhat -
even in the light gravity of Ceres all that extra sniper ammo and comm
gear still slows you down. Keep that in mind and allow for it if you
try to jump past any enemy soldiers.

When the mission starts, begin walking toward the crater where the
Hercules relic is (if you can't figure it out by dead reckoning, it's
the crater way down in the opposite corner of the map). Advance
cautiously, as you'll start running into enemy pilots and soldiers
soon enough. Keep an eye on your smart reticle readout and take them
out before they get close enough to really hurt you. They'll come from
all sides so keep scanning all around as you go forward. Don't bother
trying to cut around to one side of the map - there are mines everywhere,
and even if you find a way through it's going to take too long - just
cut straight across towards that crater on the diagonal.

Once you get to about the middle of the map, the terrain changes a bit.
A shallow canyon cuts across your path, and 3 somewhat deeper canyons
cut off of it in a southwesterly direction, towards the crater you're
aiming for. Now, there are some snipers waiting for you in those canyons,
but you can avoid them all if you know the right way to travel. Look SW -
the high ground between the 2 canyons running that way (the middle
canyon and the canyon nearest your Armory) is the route of choice.
There are no snipers up there - you can walk about halfway down until you
run into the land mines. The only enemies you'll run into are a couple of
soldiers standing sentry duty and they're easily dealt with. Once you
reach the mines, jump back down into the middle canyon and follow it to
the end, killing the few enemy pilots and soldiers you see standing about.

Now you've got an easy walk on flat ground to the crater. When you get
there you'll see the rim is surrounded by land mines, but there's a split
on the NE crater rim - that's your way in. Follow the split down to the
dropoff - there's a sniper waiting over the edge of it. Find him with
your smart reticle, jump over his head, and turn in midair, unlimbering
your sniper rifle in the process. You should land neatly behind him
and ventilate his helmet before he can get a bead on you. A pilot may fire
on you from an adjoining ledge also - if he does, dispatch him as well.

Now you are on a ledge a bit above the floor of the crater. You can walk
toward the center of the crater and from the edge target the Hercules
relic. Don't go down onto the crater floor proper - there are turrets there
that will fire on you. Deploy the Armory and have it drop a Day Wrecker
on the relic. Now, you want to get out of there quickly, as that's not
an ordinary Day Wrecker and it will vaporize everything 400 meters out
from the relic.

Climb out the way you came in, keeping a sharp eye out for any pilots
or soldiers that didn't catch up with you earlier - now is a prime time
for getting shot, as you'll be concentrating on getting out of the blast
zone and not paying so much attention to the terrain around you. Head back
towards the Armory - you should have ample time to get out of range of
the explosion. When the Day Wrecker detonates on top of the relic the
mission will end in success.

MISSION 6 - Canyon Warfare
The Black Dogs are dug into a canyon complex on Ganymede, and it's
your job to root them out, comrade. When you start your Recycler is
already en route to the geyser site - race ahead of it and destroy
the enemy walker waiting there - you can stand off and use your MDM
Mortar for this. Deploy the Recycler when it arrives, and build a
Scavenger first. After this, what you build depends on your playing
style - I like to build an Armory next, as 2 SP-Stabbers are quite
useful on this level, and then a Constructor. The Constructor on
this level can build a Field HQ that supplies ammo at twice the
rate of the regular supply building, so it's worth its extra scrap
cost in the ammo pods it saves you. Get a Factory and tanks to
protect it as scrap gathering progresses. Fend off enemy units as
they attack. This level varies in intensity - due to its size, the
AI often doesn't attack with the regular waves common on smaller
maps - on the other hand, you could get hit hard near the mission
start, so beware. You'll find the AI as a rule attacks more often
later in the mission, though.

About 20 minutes into the mission a walker attack group escorted
by Wolven rocket tanks will come at you from the NW canyon - be
ready to deal with it. 15 minutes or so after that, the Black
Dogs will drop a Day Wrecker on your base. This is a special
Day Wrecker that detonates at altitude and causes widespread
damage - when you see that little yellow blip coming down you do
not want to be out of your tank. 5 minutes later a second group
of walkers will attack from the SE canyon - take care to survive
this assault with your tank intact, because right after this an
airborne assault force will attack your Recycler and you'd
better be ready to defend it. A similar attack will occur about
15 minutes after this by airborne snipers.

You'll find you have some effective units to counter those evil
Wolven rocket tanks and the dual SP-Stabber equipped Grizzlies.
Your turrets have AT-Stabbers, and a much more rapid turn rate
than the standard PAK turret has. Deploying these against the
canyon walls, out of direct fire range of oncoming units and
with a tank following them makes for a fairly effective defense.
This, though, will not stop a truly concerted attack by the AI
so you should get several gun towers up, preferably each with
twin blast cannons, as scrap permits. Your Stoli light tanks
also have AT-Stabbers and make for an effective, cheap escort
unit for your Scavengers.

Once you feel your base is secure, you can go on to recon the
enemy base. The two shortest routes are guarded by gun towers
and mines, and there are frequent enemy patrols and Scavenger
parties here, so you may want to avoid these routes. The third
route to the base is less frequently traveled, but there are
howitzers protecting the base entrance, and the enemy MUF is
near that entrance also - which means if you dare to venture
in that way you'll get jumped on - hard. There is a strategy
that works well here, though. Get a rocket tank, equip it
with a Comet, and have the Constructor follow you up this
canyon. Build a Field HQ about 300m back from the howitzers,
and use your comet missiles to blast them - target a howitzer,
and run up the canyon wall as far as you can, tipping up and
firing the comet at the peak of your ascent. The comets will
go right up the wall and after the howitzers. It may take you
a few tries to get them, but you can. (For those wondering how
you were supposed to get those &!#@$%! howitzers off of the
base walls in the 14th Red Odyssey level, that's how you do it.)
Once you've cometized the howitzers and gun towers at that
entrance, have the Armory dump a bunch of ammo pods within easy
reach, and you should be able to fire enough comets at the
enemy Factory to take it out. You must take care not to attract
the attention of the enemy tanks, though - your rocket tank will
be no match for them if even a few decide to come after you.

The fourth route, the one that loops way around to the East is
your safest bet, but it's a long drive. Should you decide on
this attack vector, again have your Constructor follow and build
you a Field HQ for forward resupply, and try to attrit the gun
towers and other enemies guarding the Recycler with a Splinter
mortar. If you're good you can easily knock out the Recycler
with SP-Stabbers after you clear the way, and it's all downhill
from there. Whatever method you choose you'll find it's best to
go solo - the Black Dog base is on elevated ground, so bombers
can't fire on it from a distance, and because it's a canyon
map, you won't be able to avoid whatever counterforce the AI
sends after your assault force. Save your scrap reserves for
ammo pods and base defenses. One last word of warning - if you
get shot out of your tank, and decide to walk home via the high
ground, be careful - there's snipers in them thar hills.

MISSION 7 - Desperate Measures
Ok, time to stop the Black Dog convoy. First, build a Factory
before you do anything else. Then order the Recycler to go to
the geyser directly south of the one it was on. Deploy the
Factory right there on the north geyser and then have it build a
tank - then order the tank to immediately follow the Recycler.
Bring your turret up and deploy it by the Recycler as well. You'll
have to do all this quickly as the first attack wave will hit you
in 2 minutes. Knock out the rocket tanks and scout, then build a
Scavenger and Armory. You only want 1 Scav right now, as more
will just clutter up the battlefield during the next attacks.
Don't worry about getting scrap - there are rich fields close by,
although you'll have to clear the turrets and mines out of them.
Storage will not be a problem - although you have no Constructor,
your Factory has a very large scrap hold.

Have the Armory give you another SP-Stabber and scout out the scrap
fields, clearing them as you go. You'll run into 2 more Scout units
as well. Build another tank to protect the Recycler and possibly
another turret as well. You'll need them to deal with the bombers
that will show up about 6 minutes after the first assault. After that
you've got about ten minutes before the next attack wave - 6 tanks -
shows up. You can get another Scavenger going after the bombers
attack if you feel it's necessary.

After the tanks attack (that's the last organized attack wave),
immediately get 4 Scavengers up and running to maximize scrap
collection. Repair/replace damaged units quickly and have them
continue guarding the Recycler. Now, head South straightaway.

You may think that once the convoy appears on the map, the best way
to destroy it is with multiple bomber runs. While you can use this
technique, it's somewhat iffy, as the bombers must negotiate rough
terrain, and attacking the convoy on the flank will expose them to
more enemy fire. If you know the convoy's route in advance you can
set up a very nice ambush (and we do). The convoy will head NW for a
bit after it passes the Eastern Mountains Nav, then head South until
it's about 600 meters from the bottom of the map, then head on a WNW
course towards the Launch Pad, over relatively open ground. Your task
is to clear a path for your own units that will be coming down, and
to clear along the route the convoy will follow. There are some
turrets and mines to deal with. When you get a bit South of the Launch
Pad, drop a Nav to serve as a rally point for the units you should
be ordering up as you go along. These units should include: 3 turrets
(turrets, you say? Yes, I'll explain in a bit), 3 tanks, and 5 bombers.
Get all these units to the rally point as they are completed, and as
you go along on the last leg of the convoy route you should drop a few
ammo and repair pods for yourself (2 of each 1400 and 1800 meters East
and a bit South of the Launch Pad should do) as well. As you are doing
all these things keep an eye on the Eastern Mountains Nav for the
arrival of the convoy. This Nav has Radar, so instead of having to
keep the camera interface open just watch your own radar for red blips
near the Eastern Mountains Nav. The convoy will get there about 5
minutes after the last tank attack, and once you see it on radar you
have about 10 minutes before it's time to attack it.

Now, bring all your freshly built units from the rally point to the
open ground about 1100m East of the Launch Pad Nav and 300m South of it.
Set up your turrets in a row facing East and have the Armory send
an SP-Stabber to each one. These turrets, like the ones in mission 6,
can turn very quickly. An interesting thing about turrets is that unlike
other units, which will not attack anything more than 200m away (unless
you snipe at them) turrets will fire on anything within radar range that
their weapons will reach. With SP-Stabbers the turrets will open up on
the enemy as soon as they are within 200m, and with 3 turrets and 3 tanks
blasting away anything that comes within range will be quickly reduced to
molten biometal slag. Wait and make sure that the turrets get the
weapons, and order a tank to follow each one. You should have enough
scrap at this point to build an extra tank for yourself in case you
lose yours - do so and bring it down. Group 2 bombers under F1 and
the other 3 under F2. Move them about 500m East of the turrets.

Head East by yourself another 500m and then start cutting North and
West until you spot the lead elements of the convoy. Shadow them until
they make their turn and start heading WNW. It's time to attack. The
first unit in the convoy is an APC, with 2 tanks. Get out in front of
it and when it is within 200m, take it out. Then kill its 2 tank escorts,
while staying out of range of the recycler escorts. Head back for
some ammo from your pod stash while ordering the F1 bombers to follow
you. Pick up the convoy again and target the Recycler. When it's 300m
away order the bombers to attack it (make sure you get out of the way).
Follow them in and support them - the Recycler should go down easily, but
you'll lose your bombers for sure. Not to worry - head back further,
rearm and repair, and order up the F2 bombers. Pick up the convoy once
again and target the Factory, and have the F2 bombers attack it. You
can support these also, but don't get too close - the Factory escorts
pack quite a punch.

Retreat to your turret line - if you've done everything right you now
have only the Armory and its escorts to worry about, and perhaps some
stray units that were escorting the Factory. If you've plotted the
convoy route correctly, the enemy Armory will run right into your
turrets and tanks, which will quickly make hash of it. Once all the
enemy production units are down the mission will end successfully.

MISSION 8 - Hour of the Wolf
The Black Dogs are planning an attack that will wipe out our Furies
Project if successful. It's up to you to stop them, comrade.
You start out this mission in midair, descending into the midst of
a furious battle. It would be a very bad idea to land right in the
middle of a hail of Stabber rounds and machine gun fire so steer
yourself away from the thick of it, and towards your Factory. As you
descend you should order both the Factory and Recycler to deploy on
a geyser. Your first instinct might be to order one of the tanks to
pick you up; however, this can be a bad idea, as they are all under
attack, and you're likely to get killed while attempting to do this.
Instead try landing by the Factory and waiting - soon enough one of
your units will get killed, and you can build another tank to pick
you up. Left alone your units will usually win this first battle -
if it turns out otherwise help them out, especially if the Recycler
starts to take heavy fire.

Once the battle is over, recycle all damaged units and get a Scavenger
going. Build an Armory and get several tanks up for defense (I like
to assign 2 to follow each production unit for this part of the mission
and you should get a few turrets up as well).

This mission can be quite challenging as the base will constantly come
under a variety of special attacks, and as the level is timed, you
don't have the luxury of hanging around to deal with them all. At
times the action will be TRO-like in intensity. Your strategy here
will depend on what the AI does - often it will burn up its scrap
reserves launching constant attacks on you during the first half hour
of the mission; other times it will keep most of its units at the
Black Dog base and use them to launch counterforce strikes on all
your offensive assaults. Either way, I recommend you stick very close
to the base for the first 15 minutes or so. About 10 minutes after
the mission begins, 2 bombers will attack from the North, and they
will be immediately followed by 2 more bomber runs from the East and
West. If you aren't there to assist in defense you'll probably lose
everything.

About 5-6 minutes after this 2 howitzers will appear on the hill
behind your Recycler (if you haven't moved it to another geyser).
Take them out before they can do any damage. At this point, if
things aren't too hectic you might consider a solo run to the enemy
base for a little preliminary clearing. Take out the mines and
the turret in front, but avoid going after the Gun Towers for now.

Back at your base, the Black Dogs will drop a Day Wrecker right in
the middle of it about 5 minutes after the first howitzer attack.
Should you have had the misfortune to get shot out of your tank
and are walking back home, don't get too close to your own base at
this point in time - have someone come and get you. Three minutes
after the Day Wrecker attack, airborne soldiers will hit your
Recycler, so beware and be ready.

Shortly after the airborne assault, 6 bombers will show up just
North of the base. Sometimes they like to lurk there in ambush, but
they may also attack the base en masse, doing massive damage.
You'll want to deal with these preemptively, and as soon as possible.
Build a couple of your own bombers to attack them, and follow them in
and assist.

Around about now you'll probably want to build a Constructor, as
the scrap is undoubtedly piling up. Build some silos outside the
base. You'll notice that your Constructor has the option to build
Command Towers - this is an enhanced Comm Tower with increased armor,
and it will paint enemy units farther away than a standard Comm
Tower. I'd build one of these also, so you can maintain your base
while you're off blasting the Black Dogs.

In the 10 minutes or so after the last bombers show up, you'll get
hit again by another howitzer and a Day Wrecker. After the second Day
Wrecker hits, you've got a 15 minute respite from all those scripted
attacks, and hopefully the AI's tank attacks are tapering off as well.
Now is the time to strike, and strike hard.

The map is relatively open, and because of this bomber strikes are the
order of the day. You'll be able to evade the AI's counterforce units
with relative ease and hit the base hard. Strike from the front - don't
waste time probing as time is of the essence and there are defenses on
all sides. If you've taken out the turret and prox mines at the front
of the base as suggested earlier you must now hit the twin sets of gun
towers guarding the front of the base. In this mission you MUST
concentrate on hitting the power supplies - the Black Dogs have a special
Hanger and Supply that will fix up every unit within 500m of the base.
Don't expect to knock a gun tower down into the red and come back for it -
it will be at full health when you return. The same applies to all other
units in and around the base. The hanger and supply buildings are heavily
armored so it's really not worth your time or tank trying to take them out.

Take two bombers at a time and attack each power supply in turn - you WILL
lose the bombers, but don't worry about that - you should have plenty of
scrap by now. Once the power supplies are down, you can barrel right into
the base with 3 or 4 bombers and go for the Factory. If you're really lucky
you can get the Recycler on this run as well, but if you don't, don't
worry about it - knocking out the Factory basically eliminates the
offensive threat the base poses. You can then destroy the Recycler and
Armory when you come back, being careful to stay clear of the remaining
gun towers and turrets.

In case you are getting down to the last few minutes be aware that about
5 minutes before the end of the mission a massive strike force of walkers
and bombers will attack your base - if you haven't won by this time
you must prepare your defenses to deal with this threat. Hopefully, though,
you've been masterful at simultaneously defending your base while
whittling down the Black Dog defenses. Once you destroy all the Black Dog
production units the mission will end in success.

MISSION 9 - The secret level
Mission 9? Comrade, who told you there was a mission 9? Someone has been
divulging state secrets again... actually there really is a mission 9.
It doesn't appear on the mission selection screen - in order to launch it,
you must type in the correct secret code from the mission selection
screen. Hint: it's Battlezone - related and something you see in the game.
It's not ssuser, either, although if you type that in you'll get a little
message from me :) I won't give you any hints for the secret level as you
should be able to figure out a winning strategy after getting through the
rest of the missions. It's a nasty level, though... watch out.

Well, I hope this helps you out, if you were really stuck. If you have any
other questions or comments you can email me at ssuser@hotmail.com
