Summary: Maria and Michael will do everything together, no matter what the
consequences.
***********************************************
Maria, what the hell are you doing here? Youll be killed, Michael said
frantically. He had been caught by the FBI and now he found Maria being
thrown into the room with him.
I couldnt leave you, Maria said sadly, I cant let you die.
Maria, I am good as dead now, and now you are just dragging yourself into
it, Michael said angry that she had done this.
Then we will die together, Maria said firmly.
~Earlier that Day~
Maria walked up to the door. She didnt want to do this, but she knew that
she had to. She shouldnt keep running back to him. He just kept breaking
her heart. For some reason though, she knew that the things he said, he
didnt mean. There was a little piece of her that had faith in him, knew
that he loved her, even when he said the wrong things.
The door opened slowly and Michael stood there. In his eyes, Maria could see
that he hadnt slept for days and his frustration over the recent events was
obvious.
Hi, Maria said softly.
Hi, Michael replied. He opened the door a little wider and motioned for
her to come in. She walked in and turned around to face Michael.
I, uh, came to talk to you, Maria said, still softly and cautiously.
Ok, Michael said, Would you like to sit down?
Maria walked over to the couch and sat down. She looked at the ground
nervously and then gathered the strength to say what she needed to say.
Michael, in the back of my mind, there is a voice, a voice that seems to
trust you. Its faith. I have a faith in my heart that knows that what you
say when you are frustrated and angry is not the way you feel. I need you to
tell me if my faith is steering me wrong or not. Did you really mean what
you said about our relationship being stupid? Maria was afraid to hear the
answer, but she needed to hear what he felt, she needed to know if he still
loved her.
Michael was silent for a few minutes. He wasnt very good with words.
Sometimes I get very angry and stressed out. When I get angry or when I
stress, my mind doesnt register everything. I tend to say things and do
things that I dont mean to. And lately, I have been both, angry and
stressed. I didnt mean to say the things that I did to you. Im glad that
you have faith in me, because your heart is right. Im sorry that I called
our relationship stupid. I dont think that at all. Im sorry. When Michael
finally looked up to see Marias reaction, he saw tears dropping from her
eyes. He pulled her to him and held her.
Maria left after awhile. She needed to get home. As she was walking to her
car she noticed a strange car parked outside that she had never seen before.
Then she saw two men come out of the car. They werent fooling anyone: black
suits, dark car, sunglasses, they were definitely FBI and they were headed
towards Michaels apartment. A few minutes later she saw them come out with
a lifeless Michael. Maria drew in a breath and hid behind her car. When the
car pulled out Maria quickly hopped into her car and followed.
Maria successfully made it to the facility without anyone seeing her, but as
soon as she tried to enter, she was caught and thrown into the room with
Michael.
~Back to present~
No, Maria, there is no reason for you to die too! This is not your fight!
You should have never come here.
Dont you dare lecture me about how this is not my fight! Maria yelled, I
knew what I was getting into when I started this relationship, and Ill be
damned if I sit on the side and watch you get killed by the FBI! Maria fell
to the floor and started to cry. So many emotions were running through her
all at this one moment.
Michael walked over to Maria and put his arm around her. Im sorry Maria. I
shouldnt have yelled at you. There they sat in silence and fell asleep in
each others arms.
The next morning Maria awoke to find Michael missing. She got up and started
yelling for him. Michael! Michael!
I really wish you would stop your yelling, it really makes it hard to
concentrate, a voice over an intercom said, if you are too loud, I may
accidentally slip and cut the wrong part of your boyfriend. You wouldnt
want that, now would you?
Maria again fell to the floor in tears. She couldnt help but feel pain for
what she knew was happening to Michael. He was being sent to his tomb and
she couldnt do a thing.
Later that day Michael was brought back to the room. Maria took one look at
him and knew that he was dying. His face was pale and there was blood
smeared all over his body. The pain in his eyes was prevalent. Maria held
his body as he was deteriorating.
Michael, you cant die, please, just hold on. Michael looked up to Maria
and started to cry.
Maria, dont you worry about me. Im alien remember, I heal fast, he
sniffled out. But, Maria knew the pain was more than he could take. It was
killing him. She knew that he wouldnt be able to survive this. She could
see his form drained of life.
Ah, Maria, Im glad you could attend this funeral, a figure came through
the door with a gun pointed towards Michael.
Why are you doing this? Cant you see that he is in enough pain? Maria
said.
He is, yes, but we are finished with him. We dont need him now, and we
cant have evidence, now can we?
The sound of a gun shot was heard. But, instead of one shot, there were two.
Michael looked up to see the FBI agent on the ground in a pool of blood and
then saw Maria next to him dying as she had taken the shot for him.
Maria, Maria, talk to me, Michael cried as he held her close to him.
I told you, we do everything together, if youre in pain, Im in pain, if
you die, I die, Maria said slowly as her life was quickly fading.
No. No! Maria, you are too young to die, too beautiful to die. It isnt
your time, Michael choked out. As quickly as her life was fading, so was
his. They both lie next to each other exhausting what little life they had
left.
Michael?
Yes?
I love you, Maria said as her eyes closed and her life had been taken.
I love you too. Michael laid back with Maria in is arms and let death take
its toll. They both lay next to each other, holding on tightly to the other.
Their bodies were limp now. Their breath had been taken from them, but their
love had not. For, everything they did, they did together, they were happy
together, they were in pain together, they were in love together, and they
died together.
The End
