The Drive Home
Part 1
Liz's POV
I cry alone here on my bed,
The name of Max stuck in my head.
My pillow fluffed, my head sank low
Just 24 hours before he will go.
Back to rule his planet with his Tess.
I'll be alone here in a mess.
I lay and think just for a while,
Oh no he thinks I slept with Kyle.
Could I really just let him go
Without the truth he deserves to know.
I might as well tell him he's still going to leave.
I wipe the tears away with my sleeve.
Tess's baby will still be sick
I pick up the reciever with a click
"Hi Max, it's Liz, i'm going for a walk.
Will you come with me? we need to talk".
Yes comes the reply and we arrange to meet.
I hang up the phone and get to my feet.
Part 2
Sitting on the desert sand,
they held eachother hand in hand.
Max made the connection for her to see.
That one day soon she would be free
The images flew by way too quick,
But what she saw made her sick.
The connection they held broke apart.
It was over before they seemed to start.
"Tess killed Alex" She said with a glare.
Max wrapped his hands in her soft hair.
"Are you sure? How do you know?"
She replied "I saw it in the connection a few moments ago".
"We have to go and get the truth".
He got to his feet alive and aloof.
In the jeep not a word was said.
Liz just sat and bowed her head.
When they arrived he got out alone.
"Stay here" He warned in a serious tone.
Part 3
An hour had passed when he finally came out.
Right after Liz had heard a vicious
shout.
His head was hung low, his shoulder's tensed.
It must have been true, what she'd sensed.
He got in the jeep and closed the door.
Pain filed her heart with what she saw.
He had a scratch on his cheek and tears in his eyes.
No more she thought, no more lies.
"Max I'm ready to confess"
"What has caused you all this mess"
With that they were driving on the road.
Liz's head was such a heavy load.
Part 4
Once they arrived, they went to his room.
The tears in his eyes still seemed to loom.
He sat and began to rub his head.
Liz sat down next to him on his bed.
"Max I kept this secret for quite a while"
"The truth is I never slept with Kyle".
The tears in his eyes began to flow
So Liz got up and began to go.
"Liz don't go, I want you to stay".
"Do you mind If I just lay?"
He layed down flat on his bed.
Liz couldn't believe whathe'd said.
He used his powers to make the light dim.
Then pulled her down on top of him.
He planted a kiss on her lips
And played with her back with his finger tips.
He suddenly started to remove her top.
And yet she didn't tell him he had to stop.
She undid his shirt as she hissed.
Continuing their kiss that they both missed.
I think you know what happened now,
There is no need to continue this tale.
