Summary: AU Fic Michael adopted by a rich family and is very popular at
Roswell high. Football jock. Max and Isabel are almost the same but Max is
a jock football player too and Isabel is a party chick who is dating bad boy
Alex Whitman who is a party guy too. Maria was adopted too by a rich family.
Liz is the same. Maria and Liz are best friends and they are popular and
they talk to Michael, Max and Isabel but not on a regular basis.

Isabel and Max got home and Alex was still there, at least now he was sober.
"Is Maria's dad okay?" he asked very sincere.
"Max could you leave us alone?" Max walked up the stairs leaving his sister to tend to Alex.
"What?" Alex said when he noticed Isabel glaring at him.
"This has to stop Alex" she said very serious she was definitely not going to back down.
"What are you talking about" he asked knowing full well what she was talking about.
"Yesterday our friend needed us but you, you were too high to realize what
was going on" she yelled at him for the first time she'd never yelled at him
before.
"I was just having fun, it was a party remember" he defended himself
"No Alex this shit has to stop, I mean completely. I will not-"
"Why should I?" he cut her off.
"What?" she said in shock. This was supposed to be the man that loved her and
cared about her.
"Why?" he simply asked.
"Because," she had calmed now hoping to get through to him, "I asked you to." Tears began to form,"I need you to, because I can't be with you if you don't." she had hoped it wouldn't come to this an ultimatum, but it had.
"I am who I am, and if you don't like I don't know what to tell you." he said
very coldly and left. He left her crying. He'd never made her cry before.

"Miss DeLuca?" the doctor approached her "You father is a wake and in good condition, you can see him now."
Maria was ecstatic, she rushed to her father's side.
"Daddy," she calmed softly as she peaked her head in the door.
"Maria!" he called out, it was the first time in years he called her name. She started to sob uncontrollably.
"Calmate mijita" he said hugging her close." I'm sorry, not just for this but everything, I've been an awful father."
"No, you've just been hurt, it's okay daddy"
"No " he shouted startling her "It's not okay you deserve more and I promise mijita, I will make it up to you, I love you, you are my only daughter I will not hurt you ever again"
Maria had waited a long time for this, she was not going to take advantage of her time with him.
