Author's Notes: Actually I had one specific couple in
mind after watching TLV
He paced the confines of his room, unable to get her
off his mind. Perfect skin...hair of spun silk...eyes
so deep and dark a man could lose his soul inside
them...
"I have to tell her," he said to himself. "I have to
know."
She's dressed in black again
And I'm falling down again
Down to the floor again
I'm begging for more again
But oh what can you do
When she's dressed in black
She sat before her dresser mirror, brushing her hair,
gazing sadly at her reflection and wishing that
solitude was not her only companion. Satin with a
hint of lace showcased her alabaster skin to
perfection.
Movement outside caught her attention, and she watched
in the mirror as the window slid up and he stepped
inside. Tension held his body taut inside his dark
garments, his arms crossed defensively.
Say something, his eyes begged her. Say something and
I'll know it's all right to feel this way, to
want...to want without surcease...
My mind wanders endlessly
On paths where she's leading me
With games that she likes to play
And words that she doesn't say
Not when we're alone
And she's dressed in black
Don't speak, her eyes begged him. If you speak, I am
lost...and lost means being helpless in front of
you...
As a picture of herself
She's a picture of the world
A reflection of you
A reflection of me
And it's all there to see
If you only give in
To the fire within
Dressed in black again
She rose and went to him, her expression terrible in
its neutrality. He watched her sultry lips part as
though to speak, and he waited breathlessly for her
words to damn him or save him.
"I didn't expect this," he thinks frantically, somehow
hoping she will know this and not blame him.
"It shouldn't happen like this," she thinks, somehow
hoping he will know she does not blame him.
She spoke his name; he touched her face and the world
exploded in colors and heat as they fell into one
another.
Shadows fall onto me
And she stands there over me
And waits to encompass me
I lay here helplessly
But oh what can you do
When she's dressed in black
Dressed in black again
