"Maria I guess this is a good time than any to tell you this." Michael said nervously.
"Yah Michael? What do you want to tell me?"
"I love Maria."
"I love you to Michael." Maria said as she started crying.
"Maria? What's wrong?"
"Michael everything is going to change."
"Change? What do you mean change? Change how?"
"Michael I really can't explain this." Maria cried. Maria felt little sharp prickles on her back. It felt like something was forcing it's way through her back. Sure enough Maria had her wings. They fluttered out. Maria sat up and covered her eyes. Maria's wings streached out. Michael was stunned. Many thought swam in his head. He wondered if this was his fault. If she was an alien. But their was only one way to find out. He had to ask her.
"Maria. You're and alien too?"
"No I'm something else."
"From another plant other than mine and this one?"
"No. I'm not from any planets."
"Where you from?" Maria pointed up. Michael stiffened.
"Michael... I'm an angel. I was sent here to watch over you. But I didn't expect to feel this way I do about you. I didn't expect this. I didn't expect to fall in love."
"No I don't believe it. This is not happening, your not really existing. This is some freaked out dream I'm having. And I'm due any minute now to wake up." Michael shut this eyes and opened them again to still she Maria sitting there with her wings.
"Michael believe in me." Maria said reaching out. Michael pulled back."Michael I believe in you. Your an alien and you exist. So why can't angels? Angel's do walk the earth."
"Maria this can't be."
"Michael I was only sent here to watch over you but in the time that I did I fell in love with you. This wasn't suppose to happen." Michael put his feelings aside. The woman he loved was in his face. And she was hurting. "I'm going to have to leave you."
"Maria you can't. I have nothing but you." Michael said hugging Maria.
"Michael, I love you. I always will."
"I love you so much Maria." Michael said kissing Maria. Maria started to disappear. She vanished into obvilion. Michael was alone. Michael curled up in the covers and cried. The one thing that truely loved him was gone. Michael's protective wall was blown down and for once he allowed his self to feel the pain of losing someone he loved forever.
