Solving Quadratic Equations by Factoring

If you were given the equation x2+14x+24   X2+14x+24
would you know how to solve it.                         
Think of the possible factors for 24. (4,6) (12,2) (24,1) 
You need to find the product that will equal 24 In this case 12 @ 2 are the solution
And those same two numbers sum must also be 14      are the solution   
(X + 2)(X +12) 2 times 12 = 24
X times X = X squared So the factored solution of X squared+14X+24
X times 12 = 12X  
2 times X =2x Is (X + 2)(X + 12)
