I wrote this poem in light of all the lives, we as Americans have lost. So often we don�t think about how lucky we are to have each other. Keep in mind that no one knows what tomorrow has in store. So make sure all your loved ones know how much you care. If I would have known yesterday that today you�d be gone, I would have hugged you tighter, I would have smiled at you again. If I would have known, what I didn�t know then. If I could have seen, that this morning your face wouldn�t brighten my day. I would have told you �I love you� just a few more times, And I wouldn�t have been so far away. I would have held your hand longer. I would have memorized your laugh, and the smell of your hair. If I would have known before, that tonight when I go to bed, You wouldn�t be there. I would have said I was sorry, for all the times I needed to. I would have looked in your eyes more often, And stayed up all night just to talk to you.
