'But don't you get it,' she mumbled into his mouth. 'There is no place for this and there is no place for us…unless we make one.'

She pressed hard into the kiss. He was so wrapped in the feel and the taste of her, that all reason was hopelessly lost. There was so much unspoken intensity, that a breathy sigh escaped him.

'Now you can't pretend I'm not here, anymore,' Sara said pulling away abruptly.
His eyes had been closed, his eyelids dancing. Now he looked at her, seemingly amazed. 'But you're everywhere Sara. You've always been. How could you not know that?'

'Show me,' she barely had time to whisper the words before his hands were running over the fabric of her shirt, his lips consuming her neck. With every touch, every murmur, she was lulled into a heated daze.

Seconds became minutes, which spanned into hours. The crowd began to thin and the garden had long since become silent. This time it was Sara who opened her beautiful brown eyes, on a face she had known so long, but had never seen this close before.
Perhaps she should laugh at fate and destiny, but then she would be laughing at his skin on hers, and the desire in his eyes. Instead she looked beyond that, to the stars through the small window of Lindsey's playhouse, and the moonlight illuminating their tangled embrace.
