From what I had heard, this film was either going to be top or absolutely terrible and having now seen it I would say that it was a 5/10 film. I think this mark needs a bit of explaining, especially for those who thought it was absolutely terrible. I only thought it was good because it was funny and because I was watching it with my brother who had seen it before, he knew what was coming and started laughing everytime someone was about to die, which coincidentally was funny everytime and called for a lot of use of the slow motion button on my video. I thought that the story was about a load of people that waere in a plane crash and ended up having to survive in some remote place. I was completely wrong. The real story is that a class of teenagers are on there way to France on the plane but before they leave JFK one of the lads has a vision and gets off the plane with some of his mates. He tells them about his dream and funnilly enough the plane blows up just as he had seen. Because they hadn't died on the plane they have cheated death and so it comes back to get them and systematically kills them off in the order that they would have died if thay were on the plane. This makes for a predictable remainder of the film but dispite this it's funny (we thought so anyway) and this is what made it watchable for me. It's kind of a new twist on the whole teen slasher movies like Scream and I know What You Did Last Summer so if that's your bag you will probably find this an enjoyable movie. |
