| The first instalment of the Indiana Jones trilogy sees Indy tracking down the lost ark of the Covenant whilst at the same time trying to stop the Nazi's from swiping it from under his nose to take back to Hitler. The adventure begins in the Amazon where Indy is trying to get some kind of golden head thing but is double crossed by his guides and he has to give the golden head thing up to his Nazi pursuer. From here the action goes to the snow covered mountains of Tibet and then finally to Egypt where the Ark is buried, subsequently uncovered and opened and all hell is let loose. Arguably the best of the trilogy, I loved it when I was a wee lad and it's still good to refresh your memory of these three classic adventure films every once in a while. It's exciting, it's funny and Harrison Ford is almost as cool as when he was Han Solo- but not quite. |
