I haven't been able to use my speakers for a few months now. I have no idea what is wrong with them. They used to work fine and now nothing. I've tried everything that everyone has suggested and still nothing. Last night I was invited to join a voice chat and when I accepted, a message came up saying……Your computer's audio output is already in sure by another application……..Could you please explain this and perhaps help me fix the problem?

Answer:

1 Did you install any other sound managing program?

2. If the answer is yes.uninstall it
3. If the answer is no...
1. Check the main sound panel by double clicking in the horn who appears in the bottom right side of your monitor. When the main sound control panel shows chech if the option mute is checked if it is uncheck it Then try with a music cd
2. If that dont work you have to reinstall your windows sound drivers.

Answer:

Have they tried verifying that the proper driver is in use?
Check the task manager to see what programs are running when you get the message "Your computer's audio output is already in " it may be a bad download of some sort of audio program or something is opening up in the background. Hope this will help.
