| Nine hardy Canadians made the treck to Portland for 2 to 3 days of beer exploration. The best beer was the Roque brewery special edition Jubilee Ale for the Horse Brass Pub which was one of the favorite pubs. Celebration ale by Sierra Nevada was awesome as usual, and was enjoyed through out Portland and was the best beer at the Winter Ale Festival. The festival was a bit disapointing with alot of the beers having similar profiles. Other good festival beers were Alameda Brewhouse Imperial Curmudgeon Imperial Stout, Mt. Hood Brewing Co. Old Battleaxe Barleywine, and Pike Brewing Co. Pike Kilt Lifter Ale. |
