Belle is my cat. I've had her since Febuary 2001. We got her from an animal shelter. She was actually a Christmas present, but we waited until the holidays were over and things calmed down to get her. They had named her something else at the shelter, but I switched her name to Belle. It means beautiful in French.

She's one of the best things that's ever happened to me. I know it sounds weird, but we're quite alike. She's black and white, but her fur looks brown in the sun. She's got the most gorgeous green eyes. They look blue in the pictures, but they are really green. Belle's scared of nearly everything. She won't go outside and taking her to the vet is a nightmare. But, I love her sooo much.

Belle got this rare disease thing around November/December 2001. Her mouth starts hurting extremely bad and she can't eat. We have to take her to the vet to get a steriod shot that lasts about a month. So, every month Belle goes to the vet.

Some of her nicknames are: Bella, Bella Ella, Bella Notte, Notte, Belley, Belley Elley
