Part 9:

Spike looked at Xander strangely. "So tell me again how you got to the top of the tower."

"I'm really not sure. I think I somehow tapped into the hyena's speed. It might not be as fast as the cheetah's, but it's pretty fast." Xander said as he plopped down on the couch.

Tairra walked into the guestroom. Spike leaned against the wall, as Rune sat next to Xander. Doyle took up one of the chairs.

"It was as if I had to be there. It was almost like it was destined. Maybe it wasn't, and like always, I screwed up another Powers That Be prophesy. I seem to be good at that." Xander shrugged.

Rune laughed. "Yep. Whistler used to be one of our teachers. He called you "Boy who screws up the most powerful prophesies and is no longer allowed to be near one'."

"Who is Whistler?" Xander and Spike looked confused.

"Whistler is the demon that balances out good and evil." Doyle put in his two cents.

"He was also the guy who got Angel cleaned up into the brooding dude we know. He dresses worse then Doyle and that is seriously sad." Tairra walked out the bedroom in a robe, and drying her hair.

Doyle pouted at her, as she sat down on the arm of his chair.

"So this demon doesn't like Xander, because he messed up with one prophesy." Spike looked confused.

"No, Xander just makes his job harder. Or so he says. " Rune laughed.

"Why?" Xander looked more confused.

"Angel was supposed to there during Athica, not Angelus. And he believes that if you wouldn't have brought her back, Angel would have. But you did." Rune shrugged. "Shit happens."

Doyle laughed. "Whistler better never hear you say that..."

"Like I care." Rune muddered.

As Whistler walked in. "Nice to hear that Rune."

Part 10:

"How did you get in here?" Xander stood up, glaring at the badly dressed man.

On the other hand, Tairra hugged Whistler. "What took you so long getting here?" She pouted at him.

"Had to make an entrance and besides have you tried to take a bus from Cleveland to Sunnydale at 5 am? It's nuts!" Whistler kind of shrugged off Tairra's hug, almost embarrassed by her happiness to see him.

"What where you doing in Cleveland.never mind, I really don't want to know, do I?" Doyle raised an eyebrow at Whistler.

"Not really, but if you must know. We're setting up a school there. Decided that Cleveland was so full of weirdos that no one would notice. Besides they're used to miracles; look at the Indians." Whistler shrugged as Tairra got him a cup of coffee. "This is just coffee, isn't it?" Everyone could hear the unhappiness in the comment in a form of a question.

"I like keeping you sober," Tairra shot at him.

"I don't." Whistler pointed. "But with you it isn't want others want, is it?"

"What do you want and how did you get in?" Xander rephrased the question.

"Door was unlocked. As a hellmouth born, I'm very disappointed in you. With why I'm here, it's got to do with the reading you got at Caritas." Whistler slowly drank the coffee with a grimace on his face. "I hate straight coffee."

"It has cream and sugar." Tairra glared at him.

"Don't mind the harpy, she's always like that." Whistler told the group.

Which got a nod from Rune, which in turn Rune promptly hit for the nod by Tairra. He had forgot she sat down in hitting range.

"What about my reading?" Xander looked confused.

"What reading?" Spike finally made himself known.

"Ah, William the Bloody, I'd say it's a pleasure, but it's not." Whistler pulled out a cigarette, which got swiped by Xander.

"No smoking in the building," Xander said monotone.

"Whatever. On to what I was saying.I have a little information on the reading, mostly because the powers need you to win this one. They aren't pleased that little Tairra is apart of this, but she has to be. One hint, the more you get involved in this little situation, the deadlier it is for the whole." Whistler looked over at Spike, who raised his eyebrow at him.

"So, the ones who need to be in this should be the only one's I bring in on this?" Xander made Whistler turn back to him.

"Not nessarily," Whistler answered easily.

"So which is it; get people I know involved, or only the main three?" Xander pushed.

"It's just up to you. I'm just a balance demon. I don't have all the answers.well, yes I do. I just can't give them to you." He smiled slyly at Xander. "Well I've done my duty. I'm now off. Hopefully finding a bar, but most likely wherever the powers send me." Whistler placed the empty coffee cup down and with that walked out.
