Part 9: Surveying

The slayers moved purposefully inland. Buffy carried the crossbow and Faith held their notepad and a compass. "Now let's stick together, Faith. We don't know what or who may be lurking. The whole deserted island thing is just an assumption at this point, understand? I don't want you to let your guard down until it's determined."

Faith smirked. "If I didn't know better, B. I'd think you didn't want anything to happen to me."

Buffy spun around and glared. "Of course I don't! Faith, stop being an idiot, please."

"Yep, that's me, Faith the idiot." The brunette growled angrily. Her hurt coming to the surface.

Immediately, Buffy regretted her choice of words. That's not what she meant, but the damage was done. "Faith, listen.. what I meant to say was.."

"No. Forget it. You think I'm dumb. I got it." Faith brushed past her quickly.

"Faith. Faith! Stop! Wait for me!" Buffy chased after her, but the brunette only moved faster.

"Dammit!" Buffy muttered under her breath as she tackled the younger girl. "If you would just listen, for one second! You're so stubborn, Faith!"

"No, I'm stupid. Remember?"

Buffy swallowed hard at the tears she saw in Faith's eyes. She spoke softly. "No, you're not. I'm the one that's stupid. What I was trying to say is that it would be horrible if anything happened to you... I don't want to be alone."

Faith snorted. "Even if your only other company is me?"

"Okay, granted you wouldn't have been my first choice in the past, but it hasn't been bad so far. In fact, it's kind of nice... us not fighting." Faith rolled her eyes at that statement so Buffy revised it. "I mean, us not fighting much." They both chuckled at that.

"B?"

"Yes?"

"Can you get off of me now? There's a stick or something poking me in the back." Faith winced.

"Oh! Faith, I'm sorry. Here." She jumped up and pulled Faith up with her.

The dark slayer brushed herself off as she grinned at Buffy. "B?"

"Yes, Faith?"

"Do you trust me yet?" Faith watched the blonde contemplate it.

Buffy tilted her head like a little puppy then smiled. "Yeah, I do."

"Then let me carry the crossbow, and you make the map `cause I'm not good at that kinda thing. `kay?" Faith held out the paper and compass.

The blonde stared at her for a moment then smiled and exchanged the weapon for her notepad.

"Okay, now we're in business. I say we stay close to the shore on this first expedition. Then you can draw the coastline. And we'll get an idea how big this island is." Faith glanced back her fellow slayer who stood grinning.

"That's actually a very good idea. Okay, back to the beach." Buffy grabbed Faith's hand and pulled her along until they were back at the plane. The blonde then paused and drew a plane shape on the paper and the directions checking her compass.

.......................

"B, what the hell is that?!" Faith recoiled as something rushed past her.

"I don't know, but we're going to find out. C'mon." Buffy grabbed the younger slayer's hand before giving chase. "Stick close to me, Faith."

After running for a little ways, they reached a clearing and got a good look at their quarry.

"What the hell is that?!" Faith pointed at the fat little animal.

Buffy's face broke into a smile. "It's a piggy. Oh, he's so cute."

"B, I'm thinkin' bacon. How about you?" Faith aimed the crossbow.

The blonde slayer immediately pushed the weapon down. "No. Don't kill him."

Faith rolled her eyes. "B, we can eat him."

"Well let's save that for when we're hungry, okay? But not yet." Buffy insisted, giggling as the wild boar snorted and squealed. Two more boars ran past.

"B, isn't that pig kinda funny lookin'? I know, I'm not a country girl, being from Boston and all, but aren't pigs supposed to be bigger and pink. That thing has friggin' tusks or somethin'." Faith instinctively took a few steps back as the boar lifted its head and looked at them.

"He is different looking. Maybe he's one of those pot-bellied pigs. You know the ones people keep as pets." Buffy suggested, crouching slightly.

"I'm thinking, no. Considering it doesn't seem very tame. The damn thing looks kinda dangerous even."

The blonde shrugged. "Well we can check it out when we get back to the plane. There's a set of encyclopedias in that book box." Buffy gestured that they should continue.

Faith moved on but kept a cautious eye on the wild pigs until they had a fair amount of distance between them.

..................

"What next, B?" Faith sat on the rock and looked up at the sky. It was getting late. "Should we go back?"

Buffy glanced at the position of the sun. It hung low over the water. "Yeah, I don't want to get stuck out here for the night. Besides you must be starved by now."

"You've got that right." Faith gave her a mischievous look. "I'll race you back."

"Faith! Dammit!" But it was too late the younger slayer was in an all out run.

Part 10: A Toast

They both arrived back at the plane about the same moment, dead tired and out of breath.

Faith ran inside with Buffy close behind her. "Let's eat." She tossed Buffy an apple and grabbed one for herself while she checked the crate marked perishables. "We should probably eat this stuff first."

The little slayer flopped down on her bed and watched as Faith selected their dinner. The brunette picked out several items. She carried her armload to the table with a smile. "Okay B, we have smoked sausage, cheddar cheese and crackers... and of course, fruit."

"Sounds good." The little slayer went to the table and waited as Faith set everything out. "I propose a toast." Buffy said holding up her glass of water as Faith lit their candles with one of the few lighters they had managed to find.

"Hey, if we're gonna toast then let's do it right." The dark eyed beauty smirked as she reached back into the crate and pulled out a bottle of wine. Buffy drained the water from her glass and giggled as she held it out to Faith. "That's the spirit, B."

Faith filled both glasses and set the bottle down on their table. "Okay, now let's toast... um... B, whaddya wanna toast?"

Buffy held her glass high. "To the chosen two getting along."

Faith laughed and lifted her glass. "Here. Here." Sipping the wine slowly, she sat down. "Mmm... this is pretty good."

"Yep." Buffy agreed. She gulped hers down and held out her glass for more.

"B, slow down. It's wine, not tequila." The brunette snickered as she refilled the little slayer's glass.

......................

"Dinner was delic... lic... hehehe... good." Buffy stuttered, giggling.

"B, I think you're drunk." Faith laughed at the dizzy, little blonde as she poured the last of the wine into her glass. "Do you wanna play Monopoly or somethin'?"

"Nooo. Let's play something innerrresting." Buffy slurred out the words as she fell back on her bed.

Faith arched an eyebrow. "Alright. What did you have in mind?"

"Truth or dare!" The small slayer squeaked excitedly.

The brunette glanced back at her surprised. "B, that's a kissing game."

"Uh-uh, it's a tell secrets game." Buffy smiled mischievously.

"Fine. Whatever." Faith settled on her bed, worried at the questions Buffy might ask.

"You first." The pretty blonde sang out, peering over at Faith.

"Okay, this is a no brainer. Dare." The brunette's eyes sparkled as she watched Buffy's face light up.

"I dare you to... to take off all your clothes!"

Faith burst into laughter. "Now I know you're drunk. B, you've already seen me naked."

"I'm not finished yet." The little blonde looked miffed. "And... and touch yourself." She burst into giggles and fell back on her bed.

"You've got to be kidding! I'm not going to masturbate in front of you!" Faith stared at Buffy in shock. "What kind of little pervert are you anyway? Geez B, I didn't think you had it in you."

"Awww c'mon, don't be a fuddyduddy... I'll do it too." Buffy offered as she started to strip off her clothes.

Faith froze as she took in Buffy's beautiful form. "Uh... um... I don't know, B. It might be kinda weird tomorrow. You know, sometimes when people have been drinking they do things they regret later." The brunette's eyes got big as Buffy pulled her jeans off and stood in only her panties.

"Nahhhh... we're all friends here, right?" She slurred and stumbled toward Faith's mattress. "Besides, because we're drunk this doesn't count. So let's agree now that whatever we do we won't talk about, okay?" Buffy fell onto the mattress next to Faith.

"I guess." The dark-eyed beauty stared as the older slayer slipped off her panties.

"C'mon you have to do it with me." Buffy laid back and watched as Faith hesitantly removed her clothes. "Lay next to me." The younger girl settled on the bed next to her. "Okay, now touch yourself."

*****
Part 11: Regretfully Uninhibited

Faith hesitantly ran her fingers over her chest, touching her nipples until they stiffened. She glanced over at Buffy who smiled encouragingly. The brunette nervously returned the smile, slowly letting her fingers dip lower. Her and Buffy locked gazes. She watched with amazement as Buffy seductively licked her fingers and brought them to her own nipples.

Faith grinned back at her and mirrored the gesture, groaning as she saw Buffy's hand dip between her legs. The dark slayer stared in fascination as the little blonde stroked her pussy lips.

"Come on Faith, catch up." The small slayer spoke in hushed tone's, her voice shaky with passion.

Faith followed suit, rubbing her fingers lightly over her clitoris as she watched Buffy arch up. She still couldn't believe they were laying next to each other masturbating. It was actually quite arousing to see the chosen one sliding her fingers in and out of herself.

"Oh god, Faith... this feels so good... doesn't it?" She leaned over the brunette, breathless.

Faith nodded as the sight of wild, little, panting Buffy loomed above her. *Damn Buffy's hot!* She sucked in her breath as the older girl groaned and squeezed her eyes shut.

"Oh Faith... I'm gonna cum... ohhhhh.... I'm so close... I want you to cum at the same time... cum with me..." Buffy licked her lips and turned her head so she could better watch the beautiful brunette.

Faith shuddered at the thrill of Buffy staring. She smiled nervously before closing her eyes and imagining licking the little slayer. "Oh fuck!" The brunette trembled as she came hard. Opening her eyes, she saw Buffy watching her with an unreadable expression. It was so erotic. Faith held her breath as the little blonde spread her lips so Faith could see everything that she was doing. Their eyes locked as Buffy rode her fingers slowly. Then with a sexy grin, Buffy squeezed her eyes shut and moaned loudly.

Faith was hypnotized by the site. The perfect, prissy Buffy masturbating like a fiend in front of her and cursing up a storm as she came. *Never in a million years would anybody believe me if I told them!* The dark slayer's mouth hung open as she stared.

Buffy fell back, spent. "Oh god, that was good!... mmmm... Faithy, that was fun." She grinned sleepily at the stunned brunette. "Nighty-night." The little slayer's eye lashes fluttered shut.

Faith moved next to the tiny girl and gently put her arms around her. *Wow!*

........................

Buffy awoke slowly. Her head was killing her. *Shit! How much did I drink?!* Her question was soon answered as she lifted herself up and glanced down. Faith lay sleeping next to her. *NUDE! SHE'S TOTALLY NUDE!* The little blonde peered down at herself and jumped up. *OH MY GOD!*

Faith stirred. She smiled up at Buffy. "Hey."

"Um... hey." The little blonde ran over to her suitcase and grabbed a shirt, pulling it shakily over her head. She quickly tugged on her jeans. "I... uh... I'm going to take a bath... be back in awhile." She stumbled out of the plane, clutching her throbbing head.

Faith stared after her in confusion. *What was the about?... Damn! I knew it.... never should've listened to her!* The brunette got up and dressed, disappointment written all over her face. *Just when we were becoming friends... Fuck!* She jumped out of the plane and headed into the jungle.

*****
Part 12: Forget About It

Faith sat on the rocks gazing at the waterfall. *Damn, this is cool.* She stripped off her clothes and dove into the crystal clear pond. It was incredible. The slayer came up grinning as she did the backstroke and stared up at the trees and the bright colorful birds chattering above.

*Dang, wait till I show this to B.* She smiled to herself, but then the smile soon faded as she recalled the morning's awkward events. *Nah, I ain't gonna tell her about this. This is my spot.* Faith peered up and noticed mangos on the trees. *Yum!* She padded out of the water, and shimmied up the tree nude. Reaching out tentatively, the slayer batted several to the ground.

"As Buffy would say, yummy mangoey goodness." The brunette chuckled as picked one up and bit into it.

.................

Buffy shivered as she poured the cool water over her head. The sun still hovered along the ocean. It was quite early and not yet warm. She gazed back toward the plane, wondering at what they had done the night before. *Faith doesn't seem too bothered. Maybe nothing happened.*

The little slayer squeezed her eyes shut and thought about it. *Faith must have come on to me. I knew it! The way she always stares... She was just waiting for the first chance to humiliate me. Damn her!... Well, I'm not going to give her the satisfaction. I'll just act like nothing unusual happened... That's it! Nothing happened!* With a nod of her head Buffy finished her bath and made her way back to the airplane.

She felt a pang of disappointment to find Faith already gone. *I wonder where she went.* The little blonde carefully made up the only bed that was messy, Faith's and began straightening their "home". *I hope she comes back soon. I'm hungry.* Buffy went and opened the cockpit door to let in more light and poured herself a glass of water. She searched through the first aid kit and found aspirin. "Thank god." The little slayer mumbled as she quickly downed four of them.

"That bad?" Faith laughed from the doorway. Putting on her best nonchalant face, the dark slayer moved past her counterpart and peered into their meal crate. "Feel like some breakfast?"

Buffy watched her carefully. Faith seemed unruffled. The little slayer sat back with relief. "Yes, please. Ugh! I drank way too much last night." She studied the younger girl carefully. "So... um... if I did anything or... uh, said anything weird can we just..."

Faith interrupted her. "Forget about it. Nothin' happened. Trust me." The brunette laughed lightly at the look of sheer relief in those big, green eyes. "It was really hot last night so we slept in the raw. No biggy, right?... Okay, so whaddya want to eat?"

Buffy sat there surprised. *Why is she lying?*

"B, whaddya hungry for?"

The little slayer shook her head. "Oh... um.. doesn't matter."

"Okay then, I'll decide." Faith busily piled things onto the plates then brought the assortment to the table.

Buffy glanced down at her plate. "Oh cookies!" She sang out gleefully as she munched an oatmeal cookie.

Faith had served up cookies and apple slices along with nuts and water. "Bon apptit! or something like that." The young slayer chuckled as she ate her apple. "So.. um.. what should we do today?"

Buffy reached over and grabbed her list. "Let's see. Well... we still haven't finished mapping the island. And I wanna see if we can do anything about that radio."

Faith snickered. "Whaddya, an electrician now?"

The little slayer frowned. "It's worth a try."

"I guess." The brunette went and laid back on her mattress. She picked up one of the comic books and began thumbing through it.

Buffy stole peeks over at the brunette to see if she was checking her out, but Faith seemed very absorbed in her comics. The little slayer's mood darkened. "I don't see why you read those. Aren't they for kids?" She asked in snide tone.

Faith glanced up and arched an eyebrow. "What's with you?"

"Nothing!" Buffy huffed and stomped out of the plane.

"Must be close to that time of month." Faith snorted and went back to reading her comic books.

*****
Part 13: Mr. Peepers

Buffy sat on the beach staring at the ocean, trying to decide how best to salvage her dignity and reenter the plane. But her thoughts were cut short by the sound of Faith's voice.

"Hey B! Ready to go?" The younger slayer stood just outside the plane holding their mapping supplies and the crossbow.

Buffy sighed and got up. "Yeah, sure. Let's go." She carefully took the paper and pen from the dark eyed beauty. "Do you have the ...?"

Faith held out the compass with a lopsided grin.

*Why does she always look so confident?!* Buffy was irked again as she snatched the compass from the younger girl's hand. "Fine. Come on."

"B, shouldn't we go the other way and then we'll probably meet up where we left off yesterday. I mean, the island can't be that big, right?"

The little blonde shrugged. "I suppose. Do you have to carry that loaded?" She asked irritably. "If you slip one of us might get hurt."

Faith rolled her eyes but removed the bolt from the crossbow and slid it down the back of her jeans. "Happy now?"

*No.* Buffy nodded. "Better." She strode out ahead of the brunette.

.......................

"B, look. There's caves down there." Faith pointed over the side of the cliff. "Should we check them out?" The young slayer was obviously excited.

*She's having fun! How dare she!* Buffy looked back at Faith accusingly. "You're enjoying this, aren't you?!"

"Huh? Whaddya mean?" The brunette stared back at her anxiously. They were about to fight; she could feel it.

"This whole stranded thing. It's fun for you isn't?! You're just traipsing around like you're on vacation." Buffy's tone had an angry edge to it.

"Well, whaddya want me to do?! Be a bitch like you!" Faith growled, storming off ahead of the little slayer.

"Hey, wait up!" Buffy raced after her. "I SAID WAIT! DAMN YOU!"

Faith stopped dead in her tracks, causing Buffy to run right into her. She laughed as they both fell to the ground. "Way to go, B. Ya ever thought about maybe playing football?" The dark slayer teased with a dimpled grin. Her good humor only served to infuriate Buffy further.

"Argh! Doggone it!" The little blonde practically stamped her foot in frustration. "You did that on purpose!"

"Ya got me there." Faith's admission deflated Buffy's outrage. The little green eyed beauty stood and sputtered for a moment as Faith got up and walked away.

"Hey! We were talking here!"

"Were we?" Faith peered through some trees. "Shhh... be quiet."

"Don't hush me, Faithy! I think that..." Buffy marched over shouting.

"Alright then! Shut up!" Faith shoved the small slayer back. "There's something over there, okay? So just simmer down, you little spaz!"

Buffy grunted as she fell back on her butt. "Dammit Faith!"

The brunette grinned, amused by the older slayer's less then graceful landing. "Pipe down. Whatever it is, it's moving."

Buffy crawled over and peered through the underbrush. She squinted for a moment and then squealed with delight. "It's a little monkey. Ohhhh... he's so cute, Faith. Maybe we can catch him."

"What?! What the hell for?!" Faith glanced back at the blonde as if she were insane.

"For a pet, of course." Buffy bounced to her feet, clapping her hands. "Faith, catch him. Catch him, please."

"B, it's not a friggin' cat. You can't just keep it as a pet."

"Why not?" The little slayer pouted as she looked at the brunette.

"It could have rabies or somethin'. Look I'm not touchin' that thing. If you want him, catch him yourself!" Faith started to walk away.

"Pleassseeee... Faith. Pleasssee... I want the monkey. We can name him and train him... and he could do little tricks. Pleaseee.. Faith, he looks just like the one they use to have at the fair." Buffy spoke excitedly. "There was this guy with a ukulele, and he had the cutest little monkey that would do the hula." The small slayer danced a bit causing Faith to break into laughter. "It even wore a tiny grass skirt."

"Okay! Okay! That alone makes it worth it. Here hold this." Faith handed Buffy the crossbow and scurried through the underbrush. She crouched down and watched the cute, little guy nibbling on some fruit. *Fuck, how am I going to do this?!* The slayer slowly slid off her jacket.

She approached cautiously holding the jacket out in front of her. "Okay, easy there little guy.... I'm not going to hurt you." Faith suddenly sprung. Buffy burst into laughter as the brunette fell flat on her face. The dark slayer got up scowling. "If you keep laughing, I ain't gonna catch him for you!"

"Okay. Sorry." Buffy giggled and waited as Faith circled back around.

The little monkey looked up at the brunette and cocked his head. He raised his little arms frightened as he glanced around looking for an escape.

This time Faith covered him successfully and snatched him from the branch.

Buffy shrieked with excitement. "You did it! Faith, you really did it!"

"Shhh... B, you're gonna scare him worse then he is. Let's take him back to the plane." The brunette held the little monkey wrapped tightly in her jacket. "If he pees in my jacket, I'm gonna kill you."

The blonde let out hearty chuckle. "Faith, I'll wash it out if he does." She clapped her hands. "I can't believe I have a monkey. I've always wanted a monkey for a pet."

Faith arched an eyebrow. "B, there's a lot about you that no one really knows, isn't there?"

Buffy swatted her playfully. "You can't make me mad. I have my new pet. What should I name him?" She hopped around Faith excitedly as the brunette lowered the little animal into an empty crate and covered it.

"I don't know. Whatever you want." Faith went in the plane and returned with a banana. "We can't keep him in there forever though, you know? It's not right."

"But he'll just run away!" Buffy peered up worriedly.

"Maybe... maybe not. Keep him in there for about a week. Feed him good grub, play with him, and he may just hang out sometimes. You never know. But you can't keep him in this crate forever. It'll be like little monkey prison for him, and he didn't do nothin' wrong."

Buffy pouted but nodded in agreement. "Alright. We'll try and domesticate him. If that doesn't work I promise to let him go."

"Fair enough." Faith lifted the lid and handed the monkey the banana.

Buffy peeked in at him as he peeled and nibbled it, looking up at her fearfully. "Awww... he's so cute. Thank you. Thank you." The little slayer put down the lid and turned to hug Faith.

"Yeah, sure B. No problem." The brunette cleared her throat, and gently pushed Buffy away. "So... um.. whaddya gonna name it?"

"Mr. Peepers!" Buffy sang out, opening the crate again. "That's right. Your name is Mr. Peepers."

Faith laughed. "B, how'd you come up with that?"

"It's a character on Saturday Night Live. You know, the sketch with Chris Kattan dressed as a monkey. It's totally funny."

"You're one weird girl, B." Faith smirked as Buffy furrowed her brow and turned her back as if offended.

"Should we poke holes in this?" The little slayer studied the crate, trying to determine the best method.

"No, we should move him. See that crate over there? If we pull off every other slat then it'll be like a cage and he can look out." Faith went over and began emptying the contents.

Buffy kept peeking in at Mr. Peepers. "Faith, he's so adorable. Look at his little hands. Look how he eats."

"Uh-huh." Faith mumbled as she cleared out the crate. "Be right back." Returning with the hammer, the brunette began pulling nails out of every other board.

Buffy continued to stare at her pet. "Faith, he has the cutest face. It looks like he's wearing a little mask. Aren't you, Mr. Peepers? You're so cute. Yes you are." The blond fussed, giggling as the monkey squeaked.

Faith disappeared into the plane again. This time returning with a large plastic pan which she began filling with sand.

"Where'd you get that?" Buffy glanced over at the younger slayer, curious as to what she was doing.

"From the Iger's stuff. It's a litter box. Check it out. I bet the little guy goes in it. I mean, he has to be smarter than a cat, right?" Faith lowered the pan into the crate.

"Is it ready?" Buffy watched, anxious to move Mr. Peepers to better accommodations.

"Almost." The dark slayer dropped in a ball and more fruit, along with some nuts. "Okay. You wanna give it try. Or should I move him? Now you have to be careful, B. He might try and bite. He's probably pretty scared still."

Buffy nodded as she gently reached in. The monkey screeched and hopped away from her.

"It's okay B. Just use my jacket and wrap him up in it."

The little blonde tried again. This time she was successful. Mr. Peepers held still and stared up at her wide-eyed. Buffy transferred him to the new "cage". He hopped around and picked up the ball, looking out at the slayers as he bounced it and shrieked.

They both laughed as they sat together in front of the crate, watching their new pet.

*****
Part 14: A New Trick

Faith smiled as she watched Buffy fuss over the monkey. The little slayer had insisted that they drag his crate back into the plane so Mr. Peepers could get use to them. Buffy now sat in front of it talking to the animal. For some reason it struck Faith as incredibly cute; she listened to Buffy's inane chatter while she prepared their lunch.

"Look Faith. He knows his name. See?" Buffy leaned forward, holding out the cookie. "Does Mr. Peepers want a cookie?" The monkey nodded his head vigorously. Buffy handed him the cookie and clapped her hands excitedly. "I'll have him doing a hula dance in no time."

Faith chuckled. "B, it's the cookie he's responding to not the name. Watch." The brunette grabbed a cookie from Buffy's hand and turned toward the crate. She mimicked Buffy's tone. "Hey, does Mr. Smelly want a cookie?"

The monkey once again nodded his head and reached out.

"Faith!" The blonde swatted at her. "He's not smelly."

"Oh? So that's you?" Faith grinned as she went back to preparing the meal. Today they were eating from the fancy baskets. Buffy had finally relented. The dark slayer was now allowed to open even the most expensive items. At some point Buffy had to admit it was ludicrous to worry. Whatever was here was now theirs.

Faith set the tarts out, along with a jar of olives, some brie, sliced up pears, and wheat crackers. "Okay. Lunchtime." She called out, pouring them each a big glass of water. "We even have dessert." With that Faith set a basket of strawberries on the table. "Check this out. It comes with chocolate dipping sauce."

Buffy squealed with delight. "Yum! Where was all this stuff?"

"In that previously off limits part of the crate. You know, where it's marked gourmet gift baskets." Faith sat back and opened up the olives. She regarded the monkey with some interest. "B, I bet we could train him if we went about it the right way." She got up and walked toward the crate of books. "Let's see... hey, here's one on dog training."

"He's not a dog. He's smarter."

"Duh! So then he'll just learn faster." Faith opened up the book while she nibbled on a pear.

................

"Okay B. Now check this out." The brunette sat proudly in front of the crate and held out her hand. "Give me five." The little monkey squeaked, but reached through the crate and slapped Faith's palm then held his hand out. The slayer tapped his lightly. "See. Now that's a trick." Faith smirked as she promptly rewarded him with a strawberry.

Buffy rushed over excited. "Do it again! Do it again!"

"Here B, put out your hand." Buffy let Faith take her hand and hold out. "Now tell him to give you five."

"Give me five, Mr. Peepers." The blonde shrieked and giggled as the tiny hand reached out and slapped her palm. The little hand came back out and Buffy tapped it with two fingers.

"Now give him a reward." Faith instructed. Buffy eagerly handed the little monkey a strawberry. "See. That's how you do it." The dark-eyed beauty reluctantly released Buffy and moved back to her mattress. She laid back and picked up a comic book.

The older slayer glanced over, "Aren't you going to teach him more?"

"You teach him something. Like how to play dead or roll over. The book's on the table, B. I'm kinda thinking nap time, yunno." Faith gave her lazy grin before covering her face with the comic and crossing her arms across her chest.

"I'll be quiet then." Buffy looked back at Mr. Peepers and held a finger to her lips. "Shh... Mr. Peepers."

"Not necessary. I can sleep through anything." Faith mumbled from under the book. "Train away. I expect to see a new trick when I wake up."

*****
Part 15: A Quiet Evening

Faith yawned and stretched. She glanced around the airplane and noticed that it was dark out and that Mr. Peepers and Buffy were gone. The slayer immediately sat up, worried. "Buffy! Buffy!"

"We're out here."

Faith made her way down the stairs to see Buffy in front of a large fire with some sort of cooking apparatus ridged up and a pot sitting on it. "Where's the monkey?"

"Out here. Keeping me company while I make dinner."

The brunette glanced around and spied another crate that Buffy had obviously renovated so Mr. Peepers had outside quarters as well. It reminded Faith of how mothers put their babies in playpens while they do housework. She grinned at the site. *Hell, shoulda given her a pet along time ago.*

"I figured tonight I would cook. We're having pasta." Buffy's eyes lit up.

"Pasta?" Faith peered over the blonde's shoulder.

"Uh-huh. It's from the..." The little slayer read from a card in the basket sitting next to her. "the Tuscan Pasta Basket and it looks yummy. Like I said before, good ole Harry and David."

Faith raised an eyebrow before making her way over to Mr. Peepers. "So how's he doing? Did you teach him anything?"

Buffy made a pouty face. "No. It's not as easy as you made it look." She sullenly stirred the pasta. "He doesn't listen to me."

Faith laughed. "Maybe, because he knows he doesn't have to. You're spoiling him rotten. And stop feeding him so many cookies. He's gonna get fat." The brunette moved the tin of cookies away from Buffy and sat down.

"I wasn't. Those were mine." The little blonde scowled.

"Then you're gonna get fat."

Buffy looked down and worriedly rubbed her stomach. "Do you think I'm fat?"

"No, B. I was joking. Geez... Relax. You have a great body." Faith mentally kicked herself. *Way to sound pervy... you idiot!* She turned away quickly and missed Buffy's slight blush and smile.

"Really? You think I have a great body?"

"Yeah... so? It's not a big deal, yunno... I have a great body too." Faith grinned as Buffy threw an apple at her. "Hey, don't waste the food!"

The little blonde watched as the dark slayer squatted next to Mr. Peepers' crate and slapped hands with him. *Faith would make a good mommy.*

"Stand up tall. That's right. Stand up. Good boy. Here ya go." The dark slayer handed him the apple. The monkey squeaked and jumped around before taking a bite. Faith turned around to face Buffy. "So B, I guess we need to finish the mapping thing tomorrow since you let me sleep so late."

"Yeah... there's no rush anyway. It's not like the island is going anywhere." The blonde stated casually as she took the pot off the heat.

Faith stared in confusion. "Wait a minute. Weren't you the one with that whole `We don't know who or what may be lurking' spiel. Now you just want to blow off checking everything out. You know that little monkey can be left alone, Buffy. It's not a baby."

"I know." Buffy's bottom lip jutted out as she handed Faith her plate. "But can't we take a break for a day or two and have fun. What if the council shows up, and we don't even really get to enjoy this?" She gestured toward the rolling surf and Mr. Peepers.

The brunette shrugged. "You don't have to twist my arm. That's what I was thinking all along." Faith took a big bite and grinned. "Hey B, this is really good! Who knows, if we're stranded long enough maybe you'll even learn how to cook."

Buffy frowned. "I already can cook!... Okay, sort of."

.....................

That evening they spent sitting by the fire, playing Monopoly.

"B, are you sure you're not cheatin'? Cause this is like the fifth time you landed on that one and paid me. You should be totally broke by now." Faith's eyes narrowed accusingly.

Buffy giggled and turned away. "Noooo. I just passed go, remember?"

"Sure. Remind me not to let you be the banker again." Faith picked up the dice and rolled them while Buffy walked over and peered in at Mr. Peepers.

"Oh Faith, come here. It's so cute. He's sleeping. Look he's all curled up. Awww..."

The brunette got up and made her way over. She glanced down. "Yup. He's sleeping alright." She turned to walk away, but Buffy grabbed her hand.

"Oh c'mon, don't tell me that you don't think that is the cutest thing ever." Buffy smiled down at Mr. Peepers.

Faith watched the blonde's lips curl into a soft smile, her beautiful green eyes sparkling. "Definitely.. the cutest thing ever." The dark slayer mumbled still staring at Buffy's profile.

"Let's call it a night. You won anyway. I was stealing money from the bank." Buffy laughed at Faith's horrified expression.

"I knew it! You cheater!" The brunette lifted her up and tossed her back down on the beach, tickling her. "I'll teach you!"

"Nooo.... hehehe.... Faithy... stop... hehehe... you're going to wake up Mr. Peepers..." Buffy exclaimed between giggles.

Faith stopped and stared down at her for a moment. Buffy thought she saw a flicker of something... something deeper, but before she could determine what, Faith jumped up.

"Yeah, you're right. Let's go inside." The brunette moved over and began putting things away while Buffy reached into the crate and picked up the sleeping monkey. She cradled him gently as she carried him into the plane.

Faith stood watching. *Lucky, frickin' monkey!* The dark slayer sighed and turned around to kick sand on the fire.

................

Buffy awoke to Faith's cries again. The younger girl was thrashing about and calling out Buffy's name as she sobbed. The little blonde rushed over to her.

"Faith, wake up. You're having another nightmare... shhhh... it's okay.... shhhh... I'm right here... it's okay." Buffy held her and rocked her back to sleep, but this time she crawled in next to Faith and pulled the taller girl into her arms. They slept peacefully, holding each other, the chosen two.

Part 16: Kissy Face

The water glistened on Faith's golden skin as she stepped from the surf. Buffy sat on the beach with Mr. Peepers watching Faith swim. The little slayer had a funny, tingly feeling in her stomach. She looked away quickly as Faith walked up.

"Hey B, come on in. It's really warm today." Faith reached down to pull Buffy up.

"Noooo. Faithy, you know I don't like swimming in the ocean." The little blonde wrenched her hand free.

"Okay then." The brunette gave her a sexy smile and laid in the sand next to her.

Buffy swallowed hard, trying not to notice Faith's nudity, but it was impossible. She found herself stealing peeks at her fellow slayer's wonderfully tan breasts.

"B."

Buffy jumped. "Huh? What?"

"I know some place else to swim. C'mon." Faith stood up and held out her hand. "Leave Mr. Peepers here."

"Okay, let me put him inside." Buffy held out her arms and the little monkey ran to her, letting the slayer scoop him up and carry him back to the plane.

They had been on the island for a little over two weeks according to Buffy's calculations. Most of which they had ended up spending as if on vacation. Both the slayers were loving it. It was a well deserved break from fighting vampires and demons, but mostly it was exhilarating to have a break from fighting each other.

Buffy set Mr. Peepers in his "crib", and went to her suitcase.

"B, whatcha doing?" Faith peered into the plane.

"Getting my bathing suit."

The dark slayer laughed. "Forget it. You don't need it. Just take off your clothes and come on."

The little blonde blushed crimson as she stepped nude from the plane. Faith had to force herself not to stare. She didn't want to make Buffy's shyness any worse. *But damn, B is hot!* Memories of the older slayer masturbating flickered through Faith's mind. She pushed them down quickly and took Buffy's hand.

"You're gonna love it. There's even a waterfall."

They trudged through the trees then Faith took a sharp turn climbing down a rock and slipping into a cave.

"Faith, how'd you find this?" Buffy breathed in amazement as they stopped in front of a gorgeous spring that flowed into a lake. They walked through another cave and around until they were standing behind the waterfall. "Oh my god, this is incredible."

"Isn't it?" Faith smiled proudly as Buffy gazed in wonder then grinned and ran for the water.

"Last one in is a rotten egg!" The little blonde shrieked running to the edge of the rock and diving in.

"Hey! No fair!" Faith complained as she jumped in after her. They splashed and swam around. Dunking Buffy one last time, Faith paddled away toward the rocks.

"Come back here! I am so going to get you!" Buffy swam after her, jumping on her back.

The taller slayer merely laughed and continued on with the little blonde hanging on her. "You're gonna get me, huh? You and who else?" Faith turned Buffy around in her arms so that they were facing each other. Giggling and panting, they stared into to each other's eyes and stopped laughing.

Buffy could feel herself pressed intimately against Faith. She gazed at the brunette in amazement. Faith's eyes were so dark at that moment; they looked black.

The small slayer gasped as she felt herself being lifted from the water. Faith walked a short distance and placed Buffy gently on a soft pile of leaves. Obviously a perch that the dark slayer laid on often. She smiled down at Buffy then got up.

"Where are you going?" Buffy reached for her. She didn't know why or what would happened, but she didn't want Faith to leave her just then.

"To get a surprise. Hang on."

The blonde sat up and glanced around, but Faith was gone. *Damn!* She laid back down confused. Buffy had believed for sure that Faith was going to kiss her. And she knew, she wanted it. As Buffy lay pondering this curiosity, Faith reappeared carrying several mangos.

"Here." She handed one to Buffy and bit into hers grinning. "Good, right?" Faith had a serene look on her face. It struck Buffy, that she'd never seen Faith look so beautiful. Before she realized it, she had leaned forward and gently pressed her lips to Faith's, sighing as the kiss deepened.

They broke apart slowly, panting. Faith stared at Buffy in shock. "B? Whatcha doin'?"

"Shhh.." Buffy pulled her close for another kiss and another. Soon their soft moans joined the chirping of the brightly colored birds fluttering around them. The slayers pressed against each other, their lips meeting over and over as they allowed themselves the luxury of pure pleasure.

.........................

"B."

"Huh?" Buffy gasped, struggling to open her eyes. She felt faint from their kissing. *Faith is saying something... what?... need to pay attention..* The little blonde pulled back and looked at her. "What?"

"B, we really need to go back. It's getting pretty dark." Faith smiled down at her as Buffy gazed around them, confused.

"When did it become nighttime?"

Faith laughed at the innocence of the question. "Um... I guess after the sun set."

Buffy grinned back at her, playfully. "You know what I mean." She swatted Faith's arm as the brunette sat up.

"C'mon." The younger slayer held out her hand. Buffy took it and stood on shaky legs, relieved that Faith was holding her hand, in case her legs gave out altogether.

They traveled the path back to the plane in a comfortable silence each lost in their own thoughts. Faith's lips still stung from the little nibbling kisses Buffy insisted on giving her. It felt delicious. She flicked her tongue over them, noticing they were extra sensitive. *Mmmmm*

Buffy peered over at the raven haired beauty, her eyes locking on Faith's lovely lips which were now swollen like ripened fruit. They looked absolutely divine. Buffy sighed as she paused to steal another kiss. *God, kissing was never this good before! Her mouth is amazing! * Buffy whimpered against the younger girl's lips.

Faith slowly stepped back. "B, we really have to get back. There's hardly a moon tonight. I don't want either of us to trip and break out necks. `Kay? Let's go."

"Uhhhh.... okay." Buffy stumbled along stupidly behind Faith, dazed and daydreaming. *Yes, more kissy face when we get to the plane.* The little blonde smiled to herself as she squeezed Faith's hand.

Part 17: The Slayers Settle In

The plane jutted out ahead of them. Faith relaxed as she tugged the little slayer along. "C'mon B, we're home."

"Uh-huh." Buffy grinned up at her.

The brunette glanced back and chuckled. "I'll get our dinner. You better feed Mr. Peepers." Once they were inside Faith pulled on a tank top and some shorts. Buffy stood in the doorway watching. Faith turned to her. "B, whatcha doin'? Get in here before you freeze your butt off."

The little monkey saw Buffy and hopped about squeaking. He wanted to be picked up. She quickly pulled on some clothes and reached in for him. "I'm sorry Mr. Peepers we didn't mean to leave you alone all day." The monkey clung tightly to the pretty blonde. Faith smiled at the pair as Buffy sat down and spoke soothingly to him. "Yes, mommy's sorry. Are you hungry?" She handed him a banana. The little monkey settled on the slayer's lap and peeled it.

Faith set the table and began the task of picking through their rapidly dwindling food supply. "Let's see. We have honey sesame sticks, oranges, smoked tomato basil cheese, water crackers, olives, pineapple, and smoked sausage. And a bottle of.." Faith glanced at the label. "Burlwood Chardonnay."

Buffy smiled up at her as Mr. Peepers clapped his tiny hands together. It was a trick Faith taught him. After either of them made a big announcement he clapped. How he determined what to clap after remained a mystery to Buffy since at times it seemed oddly inappropriate. "Silly monkey!" She giggled and picked him up to give him a hug which he returned enthusiastically.

Learning tricks came from the brunette, getting love came from the blonde, he already was beginning to learn their distinct personalities. He sat back down in Buffy's lap as she handed him a toy.

During their dinner Mr. Peepers did his usual thing, chattered and played, hopping around making faces. He liked to make the small one laugh, because then what usually followed was extra cuddling and food. For the past three days his freedom had been made available to him. He was allowed to play outside of the crate, and come and go as he pleased. But after the initial and very brief jaunt through the jungle, he returned as Faith had predicted. And now, pretty much had few interests other than following around the two very captivating women who seemed to have adopted him.

Mr. Peepers shrieked and placed a bowl on his head as he beat his chest.

Buffy laughed. "Look he's doing King Kong again." She turned and held out her arms. "Who's my little King Kong? You are. Yes, you are."

He ran and jumped into her arms, squeaking as she tickled him. Faith watched, still amused by Buffy's maternal side, add to that, the fact that it was for a monkey.

"More wine?"

"Yes, please." Buffy held up her glass gently moving Mr. Peepers off of her lap. "Faith, about what happened..."

"Yes?"

"You're not freaked out by it, are you?" The little slayer hedged nervously.

Faith grinned and arched an eyebrow. "Do I appear freaked out?"

"No." Buffy blushed and nibbled another cracker.

"Good." Faith watched her carefully while sipping her wine. "Do you want to play that stupid trivia game of yours after dinner?"

"No." Buffy gave Faith a sly smile. "I want to make out again."

Faith laughed and coughed up her wine. "Dang B, don't do that while I'm drinking."

Mr. Peepers screeched excitedly and hopped around.

.....................

The next several days were bliss for Faith. Every time she turned around Buffy was staring with doe eyes. The dark slayer would have to pause and take a breath. Lately, she seemed to be forgetting to do so. She couldn't even count how often Buffy made her feel faint.

"Hey B, do want me to take a look at that radio like I promised?" Faith reclined on the bed after a particularly lovely make out session. That's as far as it had gone so far. Faith didn't want to press this issue. She wasn't sure Buffy was ready for more yet. After all, less then a month ago they were sworn enemies... and the whole gay thing was probably a bit much for Buffy also so Faith kept her cool and didn't push it.

The dark slayer loved making out with her prissy counterpart so much so, that it was satisfying in and of itself. Not to say that she wasn't soaking wet after each encounter, but hey, she had control sexually. Faith glanced over at Buffy and gave her a dimpled grin. "Lemme just dig through these dusty ole books and see if there's anything I can use to help me out."

The brunette got up and began looking over the books stacked on the bookshelves. Last week she had broken down some of the crates and made some shelving for them. It helped organize the plane quite a bit. Buffy loved it, and that was her main reward.

"Hey, it looks like we're in luck... sorta. We have the Time/Life Series on home repair. There may be something useful in there." Faith scanned the books while Buffy cleaned up their home. Mr. Peepers had a way with making a mess.

The pretty blonde gently picked the little monkey up. "Okay, you need to go outside to play for awhile. Momma wants to clean." Buffy went down the stairs and set him on the beach with his ball. "Go play."

She glanced up and then squinted against the bright sun. Something was there. Shielding her eyes, Buffy peered again up at the sky. "An airplane." She gasped, too stunned for a moment to move then it dawned on her. *Rescue!*

"A PLANE!" She rushed up the stairs. "Faith, there's a plane. Hurry!"

*****
Part 18: A Scouting We Shall Go

"B, we have to go light the signal fire. C'mon." Faith ran out with Buffy close behind then she stopped and looked up. "B, where's the plane?"

Buffy blushed. "I guess it's gone. I took me a few minutes to... to react." She began to cry. "I'm sorry Faith."

"Hey, it's okay. Don't cry. It's still good news." Faith hugged her. "And do you know why?"

The little blonde shook her head.

Faith bent and kissed her. "I'll tell you why then. `Cause if we've already seen one plane. There'll be more. We haven't even been here a whole month. So don't worry, okay?"

"Yeah, but we're almost out of food. All we'll have is bananas and mangos soon." Buffy sniffled as she bent down to pick up Mr. Peepers who was fussing.

"No, we'll have more than that. We can eat those pigs, and fish... and coconuts.. Tomorrow we'll go finish mapping the island. Will that make you feel better?" Faith kissed her.

....................

"Are you ready to go?" Buffy stood at the door, waiting.

"Yep, lemme get the crossbow." Faith glanced over at Buffy. "Hey, you're not going to bring him, are you?" She gestured at Mr. Peepers who was standing next to Buffy holding her hand.

"Yes, we could be gone all day. He doesn't like to be left alone." The little slayer peered up at her, pouting.

"Oh jesus, B! We gotta take him everywhere?! C'mon, he'll just slow us down." Faith looked at the tiny monkey with irritation.

"Then I'm not going." Buffy declared, picking the monkey up and holding him tight.

"Ugh! Fine. Hold on a sec." Faith went over to the Igers' belongings. She began digging through the boxes. "Here." The brunette pulled out a backpack. "Cut holes in it for his legs and then you can carry him on your back."

Buffy grinned happily as she took the backpack. "See Mr. Peepers. Faithy loves you too. Yes, she does." The monkey chattered excitedly as he hopped up onto the table and watched Buffy alter the backpack. She lifted him and gently fit him inside before slinging it on her back.

Faith handed him his doll and they headed out.

.....................

"Wow Faith, look at all the pretty birds. Is that a parrot?" Buffy pointed at an especially plump and colorful one.

"Don't know. Don't parrots talk or somethin'?"

The little blonde laughed and swatted Faith playfully. "No silly. They mimic, but they don't actually talk. It's not like you can just go up to the thing and say, `Hey, how ya doing?'."

"Hell, what do I know about frickin' animals anyway?! I'm a slayer not a frickin' farmer!"

"Shhh.. Faith, I'm only teasing. Don't get mad." Buffy leaned over and kissed her. Faith's anger evaporated.

..........

"B, over here. Check this out." The dark slayer called out anxiously.

"What is it?" Buffy had just set Mr. Peepers down to do his business. She scooped him up and headed toward the younger slayer's voice. When she made it to the clearing, she gasped. "Holy crap!"

Part 19: Not Alone

In front of the slayers stood a shrine of some sort and to one side of it rested a pile of skulls. They could smell rotting flesh and see the flies buzzing around. Faith grabbed the little blonde's hand. "We're not alone, after all." She peered around cautiously.

The smell and the flies upset Mr. Peepers. He screeched and fussed in fright. Buffy took him out of the backpack and comforted him while Faith checked around.

"It's okay B. Whoever did this is gone, but some of these bones still have flesh on them. It looks like rituals are done here. They must live on one of the other islands or we would have crossed paths with them by now. Listen B, neither one of us is to just wander off without telling the other, okay?" The brunette's tone was quite serious.

Buffy nodded in agreement. "So is this some sort of pagan sacrifice or are they trying to raise evil?"

"Don't know, B. We'll have to wait for them to return and spy. Too bad the Igers didn't read books on demons." Faith joked as she nudged a pile of rocks with her foot. "Hey, what's this?"

The pile of rocks collapsed and underneath it was a rotting organ. Buffy squinted at it then wrinkled her nose. "It looks like a heart. Ewww.."

"Okay, enough site seeing. Let's get out of here. The smell is making me wanna hurl." The dark slayer took her counterpart's hand and led her back out to the edge of the jungle, just enough so they could see the beach but still remain hidden. "Let's continue on but not along the beach. I don't want to risk these freaks seeing us. C'mon."

Buffy kissed Mr. Peepers' forehead then put him back in his makeshift baby carrier, but this time she wore it so he was resting against her chest. He leaned his cheek against her and clutched his doll as the movement of her walking lulled him to sleep.

"So B, how's our map? Lemme see it." Faith took the pad of paper from the little slayer and studied it. "Not bad... not bad at all. I especially like your drawing of our plane. Is that the wing or the tail?"

"Hey!" Buffy snatched back the paper and frowned. "I don't see you offering to draw."

"Awww... I'm just joshing ya, B. Don't get your panties in a knot." The dark-eyed beauty gave her a mischievous grin before taking out the compass and checking it. "See, here's what I mean. You need to write the headings on here, otherwise it's not very useful. It's just a shape without a point of reference."

"The point of reference is our plane." Buffy pouted at the criticism.

"Yes but actual directional points are more useful."

"Since when are you Magellan?" The little blonde snapped.

"Huh?"

"An explorer or something. Look never mind that. Let's mark where that creepy shrine is located." Buffy instructed as Faith took it back and began writing.

"Way ahead of ya there, B." She held up there map. "See. What we need to do is figure out where these islands should be on the charts. You know, that whole longitude and latitude thing." Faith jotted down the compass reading.

Buffy grinned at her and leaned forward to kiss her. "Lately you're just full of surprises, aren't you?"

Faith blushed but returned the kiss even bending to kiss Mr. Peepers who now slept soundly against the older slayer, his thumb in his mouth.

.....................

The slayers sat resting on the cliff that overlooked several of the other islands. "Which one do you think it is?" Buffy asked as Faith jotted down the approximate position of each.

"This is just a guess. But I'd say it's not that one because it looks too rocky, and it's not that one because it's too small. I think it's probably one of those over there. Our island is pretty small compared to those. I guess we're just lucky to have crashed here and not where they actually live."

"Yeah, lucky..." Buffy snickered. "We just landed where they do satanic rituals." She shook her head in disgust.
