$30 candles designed specifically for her lit. Citrus-sharp
tang floating through her dark apartment. Her mantletop
clock chimed two and she inhaled deeply, orange scented
warmth coming from the nearest candle.
29 years old, the sharpest young thing at Wolfram and Hart,
and she still ended up with wobbly knees at the sight of an 18
year old girl. 29 years old, unblinkingly vicious, and she still
went dry (and so very *wet*) when the girl pushed her
against a fence.
Lilah sighed, with just a whisper of regret, and blew the candle
out with a slow puff of air.
