Britney Spears has had enough. After riding on the wave of success for the past few years, the performer feels it is time to take a break before she wears herself out.

In recent months things have turned ugly for the blonde vixen. A very public break-up with *NSYNC boyfriend Justin Timberlake was preceded by a backlash from fans, sick and tired of her treatment of them. Only a few weeks ago she was booed off stage in Mexico where she stuck up her middle finger at photographers.

The New York Post reported a source close to the star saying, "Britney's lost it. She was really upset after she was booed and she's saying she is going to pack it in for two years. She's planning on moving back to Louisiana and living with her mother.”

Cynics have sniggered that in reality her label has ordered the star, whose sales having been on a steady decline, to take a break from public view as she’s suffering from “over exposure”.
