My Undergraduate Studies
I was studying Mechanical Engineering at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University,College of Engineering,Anantapur,INDIA.My College was established in 1946.It has a gracious campus with majestic buildings.I joined the college in 1998.It provides an intellectually stimulating environment.
My First Year College life
Making new friends,learning new things marked the beginning.I had a hectic schedule as I also joined in NIIT's GNIIT program.I secured class first and college second in my first year achieving 84% of marks.I topped in NIIT securing 80.2% and Advanced Certificate in PC Applications(APA).
My 2nd year I semester life
I submitted a technical paper on "Computer Simulation in Design of Thermal Systems" to SVRCET,Surat which got selected for presentation.I secured 74% in this semester which is class first.
My 2nd year II semester life
My regular studies are supplemented with UNIX,C++,JAVA.
More adventures,anecdotes ahead.My paper titled "Composite Materials in Modern Aircraft:The Risk To Firefighters" was selected for presentation in DYNAMECHS-2K at JNTUCE,Anantapur.I secured 79% time.
My 3nd year I semester life
Only studies in majors.I secured 73% this time,is it me?
My 3nd year II semester life
Only studies in majors with emphasis on development of personality,communication skills and vision of future.I prepared for GRE during the summer.I received intimation that I got selected for "Contact Program for Young Scientists" sponsored by Department of Science and Technology,Government of India and organized by Indian Institute of Technology,Kanpur(IIT-K).I was among 25 students selected from all over INDIA on basis of academic merit,recommendations of faculty members,potential for future research and statement of purpose.I secured class first in academics once again with 75%.
My 4nd year I semester life
This is the most exciting experience in my life,the visit to IIT-K.I had face to face discussions with scientists and got first hand information about research in mechanical engineering.We saw state-of-the-art laboratories of IIT-K,had an industrial visit and much more.I presented a technical paper titled "Total Productive Maintenance" at Chennai.Contact me for detailed info.I secured 79.5% in my academics.
My 4nd year II semester life
I secured all India 42nd rank in the entrance test for ICFAI Business School.About 19000 students took the examination.I participated in Techfest 2002,Asia's biggest annual function of IIT-Bombay.I made a Self Guiding Robot along with four team members in "Robotics Workshop" during Techfest 2002.I secured second prize in On-the-Spot AD MAD contest conducted by "The Financial Express" as part of Techfest 2002 celebrations.My team received second prize in General Knowledge Quiz conducted in our college.I attended a workshop on "Entrepreneurship" at IIT-Bombay.It was an enlightening experience.Now I began to feel that being versatile and multi-tasking can be a problem,because I can do many things well but I still feel I am missing my serious hobbies like painting and short story writing.My final year project was "One Dimensional Thermal Analysis of fin using Finite Element Method".I enjoyed doing this project as it was challenging and interesting.I left the college on 21st April 2002.I secured 81% in this semester.
I was awarded "Best Outgoing Student" Gold Medal in B.Tech by Hon'ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh Surjeet Singh Barnala on 27th March 2003.
