Troop 17 has planned a rafting trip for June 8 & 9, 2002 on the Lehigh River (located about 90 minutes west), which will include the following:

 

·         Professionally guided whitewater raft trip - class II/III – New Section of River this year.

·         All meals: two breakfasts, lunch and dinner

·         A Certificate of Achievement and Scout Adventure Patch

·         Camping site and facilities - hot showers and restrooms

·         Saturday evening games, competitions and campfire

·         Available: volleyball, basketball and hiking

·         Nature and history programs

 

Departure Saturday 7AM at Church Parking Lot Saturday June 8, 2001.  Return Sunday June 9, 2002 at Noon to Church Parking Lot.

 

A non refundable deposit of $20.00 per person wishing to attend the trip is due no later then December 5, 2001.

 

Because this is our last trip of the year and it promises to be a lot of excitement, Parents and siblings accompanying Parents are invited.  The total cost of the trip will be $70.00 per person.  If siblings wish to come on the trip at least one parent must also accompany the sibling for the trip. Siblings under the age of 8 are not allowed on the river.

 

Payment for the trip is due in by May 8, 2002 the latest.  Those who do not pay by this date will not be able to join us.

 

Scouts will have the option this year to use their gift certificates earned from the ticket sales.  $10.00 will be available for 25 tickets sold and $25.00 will be available for 50 tickets sold.  The certificates for tickets sold can be used on this trip, the May Canoe Trip or towards Summer Camp.
